Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 21, 2023September 21, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 1 No. 3 Mungo Miss and No. 8 Cash Key The 3 missed the start last week but recovered well to place. A better step sees her in this. The 8 will muster up and could land close or lead. Hard to beat if that occurs. Race 4 No. 3 Monty Cristo Latest form steady but this is much easier and when she steps and can lead she’s a different dog. One more chance in this grade to find the arm. Race 6 No. 4 Missile Mia and and 7 Pumping Gas The 4 was unlucky last week. Checked first turn and got well back but made solid ground home. Can land closer. As can the 7 who comes out of the same race and a similar run. Will muster up and put himself right in this. EW plays for both. Race 7 No. 4 Comet Bay Katie and No. 7 Bondi Monelli The kennel mates to look for the arm here. The 4 will fire out and she was good last time. She’s close to a win. As is the 7 who will also dart up out wide and give a sight if she crosses cleanly. Start important for both but can figure. Race 8 No. 4 Mungo Kurt and No. 6 Lenny Coaster The 4 missed the start last week but expect a better step this time and he could get up there early. Will stick on better as well on the way home. The 6 will also look to rush over and she races well here. Will find some improvement on last weeks placing and can get into this. Race 9 No. 8 All Over Kora She just couldn’t quite cross last week when spearing up out wide. This lacks early pace compared to last weeks field and look for her to try and cross before the first turn. Won’t be caught if she does. Race 10 No. 5 Opal Magic Gets in well here and only has to offset the box early to be a force. Can run time and still racing well enough for this grade and it will come down to how well she hops out. If she leads, she wins. Race 11 No. 2 Global Plan He’s not racing as bad as it looks. Will need first turn luck and a few coming together won’t hurt but he can finish a race off here and couldn’t surprise at the top two play here at odds. SANDOWN PARK Race 6 No. 1 Quebec Bale and No. 7 Dash Express Fav hard to beat but the 1 will muster up fast here and give a great sight off the box. The 7 is strong and don’t be shocked to see him running into this at odds. Place heavy for him. Race 7 No. 5 Yanic Bale Another who only needs to offset the box to be a sneaky hope here. Good record here and has been in strong races lately. Don’t ignore EW. Race 8 No. 7 Kai Bale Big win last time descending from the back and running over a handy field. Cuts loose up the back and will do so here again. Super dog who just knows how to produce when it matters. Race 9 No. 6 Jimmy Intention He’s a player here at the odds. Drops back from the long trip and can show pace and he sticks on well. Will be over the odds here and don’t dismiss his chances as he will only have to land close to be a threat at a big price. Race 11 No. 4 Hamblin Bale Disappointed last week but had excuses and gets one more go. Can run a strong middle and last section and will be threatening here against this lot if he gets a look up the back. EW play to round out. ANGLE PARK Race 3 No. 6 Schilaci, No. 7 Dash Of Blue and No. 5 Finniss Jewel The match race series here with 4×2 dog heats. The 6 will light the place up and run serious time and he will go close to taking this out. The smokies will be the 5 and 7 who are locals both suited to match race conditions. Race 7 No. 4 Kruger Lass Double figures about a dog who is one of the most under rated chasers racing. Can come from anywhere and runs home very hard over this trip. Needs to hit top two but she can. Great chance of a good map here. Race 8 No. 6 Adhana Rico Former Vic speedster who was impressive first up and while the time was steady, he can go much much faster. He can also step better and if he lands closer here, it will be right on. Hard to stop. Race 11 No. 4 Miss Free Reign Gallant little bitch who is no world beater but runs her good middle and late sections to hit the line hard. Small field suits and she will give a sight if she navigates an early spot and sets up for the run home. Market Market
