Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on February 3, 2024February 3, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 5 Fennec Fox Box not that bad here and racing better than it looks. A good step sees her hit the frame here at least. Race 2 No. 6 Vander Harley Great run last start when making big ground from the back. Needs a bit to go right first turn here to tack on but will charge home at odds for a place heavy play. Race 3 No. 1 Molfetta Drive Huge show here dropping back from the 600m trip. Just needs to hold a forward spot and he’s right in this, especially late. Each way go. Race 4 No. 5 Disco Trixie and No. 6 Sunset Louie Most of these suspect at the trip or can’t stay at all. These are the only two that can. The 5 grinds home all day and can step as well. The 6 needs the fence but gets through the gears once he finds the rail. They will be in the finish here. Race 5 No. 6 Sin Bin Sammy Coming off a let up but he rarely misses the placings here over this trip and will be winding up as usual to charge into the frame. Can win if close up the back. Race 6 No. 5 Carter Axelrod and No. 2 Inside Scoop The Sandi’s Me Mum final. Anyone’s race. The 5 is sneaky chance here at odds. He needs to track the 4 over and he can run into this strongly up the back. The 2 needs to get a clean first turn but if he does he then becomes the one to stop. Fastest heat winner and going well. Race 9 No. 4 Pudding Monelli Giving another go after a steady effort off this inside last week. Will drop to the fence again and start his work up the back. Top two threat here. Race 10 No. 4 Flying Freda Back up to the long trip and will look for the arm here. That’s where she is most dangerous and becomes hard to catch. Big show here. Race 11 No. 1 Calico Joe Old mate has found his top shelf form. Winning last week after some great runs in hard races at Mandurah. He is quite simply boxed to win again. THE MEADOWS Race 3 No. 8 Kraken Chief Super run in the heat and well drawn here. Can push up out wide and improve on his first middle trip run. Each way go and can win. Race 5 No. 7 Kadence Bale Unbelievable price when winning last time and while she moves out to a wide draw, she will just keep coming. Racing well and hard to stop here again. Race 6 No. 7 Ethanol Water Ready for this. She is a weapon who has a huge motor when given room to operate and is beginning better. If she gets over easily she will be in the finish again. Race 7 No. 6 Mepunga Smokey and No. 5 Dottys Gift Monster performance from the 6 last start coming from an impossible position to mow down the leaders. Goes close again here. The 5 will be a huge price but she can run home into the frame here. Her run was better than it looked last start. Don’t ignore for placings. Race 8 No. 8 Navarino and No. 7 Orli Bale The 8 will cut loose up the back and sustained a very strong run home. He just needs to stay close enough. The 7 in a similar boat and is getting better each week. Both will be running on in a race full of leaders. Race 9 No. 3 Willa Bale Massive each way show in this. Needs the fence and can reel off big middle and last sections. If she gets a clear first turn, she will look ominous. Hard to stop for the placings at least. Race 10 No. 6 Bahrose and No. 2 Winnington Bale The 6 is a character but can run home well when given the right run. Has a mind of her own but will keep coming. The 2 also drives home well along the fence. Gets a drop in company here and will be tough to stop late. GOSFORD Race 6 No. 4 Bailey Bear Has been disappointing his last few but goes well here and gets one more chance to bounce back. Runs time when he gets the arm and can return to form. Race 7 No. 7 Off The Richter and No. 5 Nangar Lucy The feature final the 7 was outstanding in his heat bounding away from better performed dogs at just his 9th start. Improves again and well housed out wide. The 5 was a huge effort as well in her heat. Made ground after having to find the fence mid race and has since bolted in at Albion Park. Goes well here. Race 8 No. 8 Nangar Gypsy and No. 4 Canya Smurfette The 8 has a lot of talent. Can handle a wide draw and goes fast early. She is hard to catch when she leads solo. The 4 went ok on a middle trip heat last week but failed to get the distance. She could bounce back her over a more suitable trip. Market Market
