Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on February 22, 2024February 23, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch MANDURAH Race 2 No. 5 Go Go Slash and No. 2 Slowly Drifting This fav in 4 was super last week but his issue here will instantly be boxed inside him. The 3 rockets out and this fav wants a lot of room he won’t get here so we will spec the 2 and 5 who are both racing well and can capitalise on probable trouble here. Place heavy plays at least. Race 3 No. 4 Alden Monelli So stiff last week when mustering up into a leading spot first turn then poleaxed. Under rated dog who will relish the small field and can surprise these as he goes much better than most think. Gets his chance now. Race 4 No. 5 Sunset Callisto and No. 7 Our Benson Two dog race which will come down to who leads first turn. The 7 looks the leader on recent form but the 5 has such a good record here and he also has terrific muster which will help him in this small field. Lean would be towards him if he got to a top two price as well. If the 7 crosses though they won’t catch him. Race 5 No. 4 West On Boomer and No. 1 Distribution The 4 has a great record around where and was superb last week over the longer trip. Drops back to 400m but that won’t brother him. Clear run and he wins. I’m expecting something from the 1 here as well. A lot of merit on the win last start when mowing down a dog who is hard to catch on the arm. Winner his only start off the red and he will present earlier here and give something in the run home, especially if he found the top. Race 6 No. 6 Lite Monelli and No. 1 Panadero Thunder The 6 is on another level this time in. Her win last week was absurdly good and she did it from behind. Usually spears out and she will give another almighty sight here. The 1 was desperately unlucky off this box last week. Drove up and almost held the front but got tangled with a dog trying to cut down. He will atone with a better step here. Race 7 No. 4 No Limit Needed Grand campaigner who will enjoy the small field. Under rated lately and not having much luck especially with draws but she will get her chance here and can lead or come from back. Top two threat no doubt. Race 8 No. 1 Rare Speed and No. 2 Who Told Tuff The 1 could be the first dog on the favs tail here and I doubt he can hold her off here if that happens. Great stats off the red and goes close. The 2 is returning from a long spell but trialled very quick the other day to show he’s still got something to offer. A good one turn dog who could surprise here. Dont ignore him. Race 9 No. 6 Jelly Monelli and No. 1 Cawbourne Roses A repeat of last week and the 6 will go close to winning again. Led all the way in fast time to show she can get this trip easily and the small field will suit again. The 1 beat a very good field last week at Cannington and while she hasn’t set Mandurah alight yet, this is her best chance yet and she’s racing well. Race 10 No. 2 Leroy Keeping and No. 5 Ash The Flash The 2 missed the start last week but recovered well to place behind a smart one. He can step much better and will give these a bit to think about. The 5 is just a genuine good little dog that never runs a bad race. She is good in a field and keeps trying all the way. Will again give a tremendous sight here and will hit the frame with an ounce of luck. Race 11 No. 2 Go Gettem Greta and No. 8 Pretty Hot The 2 is racing well without winning and gets her best chance here to score. Goes well track and trip and this is very winnable. Boxed to go close. The 8 is interesting. Has some strength about her and looks suited to this circuit even though she is still finding her feet in WA. Easiest race she has faced in a while. Could do something here.
