Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on October 13, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 6 You’re Busted Top two show if he steps here. Enigmatic but this is his type of race. Race 6 No. 6 Bang and No. 3 Ultimate Command Don’t be surprised to see the 6 spear and cross. Wins if he leads solo. The 3 will show up early and he sticks on all day over this trip. Race 7 No. 1 Aussie Chaos and No. 3 Rocky Balboa The 1 is boxed to drive up and if he holds the arm he will take some catching. The 3 will be the challenger early and he won’t be for catching if he leads either. Both huge hopes. Race 8 No. 4 Escapologist and No. 7 Ice King The 4 is far from hopeless. Will miss the start and probe for a run into the back. Each way place heavy. The 7 is fresh and can step fast when he’s on. Could give a sight on the arm in this. Race 9 No. 6 Refund Tux Will need early luck but if he gets it, he’s one of few who can run on in this. Will be strong late at a good price. Race 10 No. 7 Miss Condoleeza Well boxed as she doesn’t like dogs outside her. Will go fast after box rise and look to lead. Wins if she gets the arm to herself. WENTWORTH PARK Million Dollar Chase and Sydney Cup final night with a superb card full of quality finals. We will look at the top hopes in races 1 through 8 with a look at the 2 main features. Race 2 No. 8 Superstar Ethics Each way show off a good draw here. Young talent who has ability. Race 3 No. 4 Adulate and No. 5 Punters Bandit (place heavy both) Look for the 4 to go better this time and strong home. The 5 will also look to get into it sooner. Strong types who can figure. Race 4 No. 7 Charlm Outlaw and No. 4 Time To Go The 7 will roll down to the first turn and look to take a forward spot. Can stick. The 4 darts out and has a good early section. Can get away with luck. Race 5 No. 4 Hill Top Jack and No. 8 Aston Barak The 4 gets a glorious map here and he just keeps coming. Can run a huge race. The 8 is perfectly drawn and will rush over quickly. Hard to catch if leading. Race 6 No. 2 Valpolicella, No. 1 Zoha Bale and No. 8 My Catalina The 2 will go much better after a luckless heat run. Stays all day and very good. The 1 is much better drawn this week and he’s in this now. Improves again on his heat. The 8 is the smoky of the race. Don’t underestimate her. She has talent and can stay. Race 7 No. 8 Dundee Smoky and No. 5 Villante The 8 will charge across here and he will look to lead. Last bit tests but the race has only one real back marker who is strong. That’s the 5 who will need a run first turn but can charge into this. Run was enormous last week. Race 8 No. 4 Bella Una, No. 2 Jay Is Jay and No. 1 Cumbria Kid The MDC final. The 4 impressed big time in the semi. Got a lucky run first turn but showed blistering speed up the back. Boxed to get a similar run. The 2 will win if he finds the arm at any stage. Very fast dog. The best story would be the 1 winning and he can shock these. Has a sublime record off the inside and will get into this quickly and never give up. Drawn to give Steve Fitch the run of his life. 3 a threat of course, 5 outclassed, 6 poorly drawn but he’s good, the 7 lacks a little dash and can’t do that here. The 8 is the swooper who could drop on these late. Selections: 4-2-1-8 BENDIGO Race 9 No. 7 Quinlan Bale and No. 2 Shima Shadow The Cup final and all can win. The 7 is well boxed here and he could spear down to the first turn and lead. Would make him hard to catch then. The 2 has all sorts of talent and the start will determine his chances. If he gets any room, he will go very close. Market Market
