CANNINGTON

Race 4 No. 2 Believin’ Blade

Finally draws in and that elevates his hopes instantly. Drives up hard and has a tremendous record track and trip. Rarely out of the money. Good EW show

Race 5 No. 8 Global Light

Very well placed in this company. Looks ready to win. Got out of her ground last start and left it too late but the small field and slightly easier race gives her every hope here. Can unleash some big sections but needs to against this field. Has a strange galloping action but that’s just her. Expect better this time and no more chances if she doesn’t produce.

Race 7 No. 5 Dancing Fun

Grand campaigner who continues to race superbly. Has a top record over this track and trip, consistent box manners and early speed and is good in a field when she doesn’t lead. Will give her usual honest account.

Race 8 No. 8 Another Mick

Good move this bringing him back to the 380m trip. Perfectly boxed and while he doesn’t win many, this is the kind of race he will do something in. Will stay wide and look to launch into the back and if he can land close, they will have all sorts of trouble stopping him here.

Race 11 No. 4 Lektra Sarah

Well placed here and gets in well at the grade. Under rated girl who can step and show dash and she is very hard to catch when she gets a clean arm. Been a little while since her last win but she has been racing well the entire time and can show this field a clean set of pads at box rise. This is her race.

Race 12 No. 3 Bazinga Boy

Another who is well placed in this company. Can muster quickly and has a fast win here. Settles forward and that’s when he is really effective and with all the speed mostly out wide, he can punch here and put himself into a striking spot.

ANGLE PARK

Race 3 No. 8 My Place Friday

It might not be everyone’s favourite box over this trip but the right kind of dog can take advantage, and this girl is that type. Goes fast and holds a straight line in a field and has good form from out here. If she can find the top it should be all over. Will give a sight.

Race 4 No. 4 Powder Finger

This is interesting. Only the four runners but all four have a show. This bloke gets himself into trouble in full fields so he will enjoy this set up and will be strong to the line. Never missed a hole here yet over this trip and can win if he doesn’t let these others get away on him early.

Race 5 No. 1 Mr Anderson

They left it in last week off the back of some slippery trials. The box here should provide some relief for his sometimes tardy box manners and he can muster quickly here. If he gets the top it will take an effort to run him down.

Race 7 No. 4 Sentinel Mclaren and No. 5 Zipping Highland

I reckon these two smoke the pipe here and it will be run to suit. The 4 is versatile and he’s raced far better class than this. Silly quote for him and he will descend late. As will the 5 who is ready. Has a 30.6 to his name and that gets the job done in this. Will also look to get into this up the back. Both dogs big hopes here with any luck.

Race 8 No. 6 Resurgence

He showed little to no early interest last week. Made steady ground but he’s much better than that and we are getting doubles to go again. Over to the fence early and he just needs to get into his work a little sooner. He can reel off sections that are hard to hold out. Place heavy EW go. He can give sight.

Race 9 No. 5 Zipping Daria and No. 8 Shan’s Jinx

The 5 is a huge hope here if she can miss the 4 early. Has a solid formline, handles all draws and can come from anywhere in the run. Superb last section for this grade and if she’s close turning, it’s curtains. The 8 will get back but make her usual solid ground. She needs first turn luck but if she does get it, she will hit the podium late. Small save on her EW.

Race 10 No. 1 Spring Illusion

He went quite well first crack at this trip. Looked a little lost the 2nd time round but got going again and was closing on the line. If he avoids the second-up syndrome then he can go close here. Don’t ignore him at all. He can win.
