Greg Hooper’s Ascot Preview Posted on January 18, 2017January 18, 2017 | Posted by Greg Hooper RACE 1 KEEPER’S TALE has been a runner-up at three of her four starts. This looks probably the easiest race she has contested and she should be breaking her maiden tag. WARBO N’GRATO resumes from a spell. He’ll get back and finish strongly. BLUE TRACER is another who resumes from a spell. He can work into the placings. SHE BANGS THE DRUM has trialled solidly. Numbers – 11 – 2 – 1 – 12 Suggested Bet – KEEPER’S TALE WIN RACE 2 ROYAL STAR looks a highly promising three-year-old. He smashed them at his debut and he should be making it back to back wins. PATAPUS has produced two tough wins at both starts this campaign. He can lead or breeze and be the one to catch. PARADINI will finish strongly and should get into the placings. DUKEAZZA next best. Numbers – 6 – 3 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – ROYAL STAR WIN RACE 3 AMALIEMOO shook her maiden tag with a narrow but impressive win at Bunbury. This race doesn’t look much harder and she should win again. MISS MEIKA battled on well when resuming from a spell. She can run another placing. TIME STREAM is hard to catch but should beat most on ability alone. MYAKE MAK is another place hope. Numbers – 5 – 2 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – AMALIEMOO WIN RACE 4 PAGAN DANCER broke his maiden with a strong on speed win at Pinjarra. Pike goes on and he is the one to run down. TRULY GOLD has always shown some ability and has been going solidy at Geraldton. TOMMI TOOCAN is capable and get the services of Matthieu Autier. PROCLAMATION can improve with the step up in trip Numbers – 3 – 1 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – PAGAN DANCER WIN RACE 5 HASHTAG usually races well fresh and this looks fairly soft race. From gate 3 Jarrad Noske can tuck her in behind the speed and let her rip late. STAR GLITTER continues to race well without winning. DU PLESSIS looks the leader. FORSEEN can run a race fresh. Numbers – 7 – 8 – 10 – 4 Suggested Bet – HASHTAG WIN RACE 6 RADIANT GIRL will tag the speed and she gets her chance for third career win in just five starts. PATRIMONIO is a good fresh horse who has a big finish. PRIME WITNESS can win if she gets some luck from an awkward alley. MAMBOKADZI next best. Numbers – 11 – 12 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – RADIANT GIRL WIN RACE 7 This looks the trickiest race of the day. ZEFIRO has found form since changing stables. If he produces an effort like his luckless performance at Pinjarra he goes close. SONG OF WAR has claims despite a tricky draw. BROTHER’S KEEPER was a strong winner at Pinjarra. ROYAL ARCHIE can get a soft run from gate 1. Numbers – 5 – 3 – 9 – 14 Suggested Bet – ZEFIRO WIN RACE 8 THUNDER BOOM was super impressive when winning at Bunbury. Pike retains the mount and he gets all the favours from a good draw. BATTLE TORQUE looks close to a win. RUSSIAN RIVER is racing well. FOXELLA can lead and give some cheek. Numbers – 14 – 4 – 1 – 10 Suggested Bet – THUNDER BOOM WIN QUADDIE RACE 5 – 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 RACE 6 – 3, 11, 12 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 12, 14 RACE 8 – 1, 4, 14 [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now!” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2017-01-18/pr” linkrel=””]
