Gloucester Park December 11 – Harness Preview Posted on December 11, 2015December 15, 2015 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Coopers Preview Race 1: ABBOTT & CO PRINTERS PATHWAY SERIES MS PACE TEMPEST CULLEN (2) has not been able to race near the lead for some time and he gets that opportunity tonight. He is in reasonable form and is the on top selection in the most wide open race on the program. CAPTAIN UNDER FIRE (8) hasn’t been far away at his two WA runs and this represents a drop in class. The Irish raider, MEADOWBRANCH DJ (10), hasn’t been competitive in the Inters but will appreciate this company, while BE PREPARED (3) should get a nice run and be thereabouts. Tips: 2 8 10 3 Suggested Bet: TEMPEST CULLEN (2) each way. Race 2: TABTOUCH WESTBRED PATHWAY SERIES MS PACE DELETE AND DENY (2) has only won once in his last 16 starts but could represent value tonight. He faced the breeze when 3rd four starts back and his subsequent events have been good enough to be very competitive in this. GIVES ME CHILLS (10) is the class runner of the field and will just need a bit of luck to be a major player. LEFTRIGHTGOODNIGHT (5) was a very good 2nd at Bunbury on Saturday and should be thereabouts, while RIGHT HAND (6) will be finishing strongly as usual. Tips: 2 10 5 6 Suggested Bet: MILLWOOD FAITH (3) to win. Race 3: SLATER GARTRELL SPORTS RWWA INVITATIONAL DRIVERS CHALLENGE MARES MS PACE AM OPULENT (6) is the class mare of this field and has been tackling harder assignments. She has great gate speed when she puts it all together and could lead all the way. MAGGIES MYSTERY (2) has been close up in her four runs after a break and won’t be too far away. JUST JAMIE (1) and FLYIN THE OINTMENT (10) are drawn to get nice runs on the pegs and can be in the finish. Tips: 6 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: AM OPULENT (6) to win. Race 4: ROSS NORTH HOMES XMAS GIFT HEAT 1 FERNLEIGH REBEL (1) was ultra-impressive in leading throughout and beating a stronger field than this last week and only needs to reproduce that effort to win again. JUMBO JET (3) was an upset winner last start and should settle close from this draw. ALGRANCO UNDER FIRE (2) should enjoy the perfect trail and run into the placings. RAESAWINNER (4) was a good 2nd with Tim Tetrick on board last week and must be considered with him in the cart again. Tips : 1 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: FERNLEIGH REBEL (1) to win. Race 5: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS XMAS GIFT HEAT PHOENIX WARRIOR (7) was beaten as a $2.00 favourite but far was from disgraced when 2nd to Jumbo Jet. He worked hard in the final lap on that occasion and should be fitter for the run and hard to beat tonight. LOCAL ROGUE (1) grows a leg on the pegs and can lead or get a nice trail tonight. GO WEST U TERROR (2) was a good 2nd to Fernleigh Rebel last week and should be thereabouts. MENELAUS OF SPARTA (3) hasn’t started this close to the pegs for some time and also has the services of Tim Tetrick tonight. Tips: 7 1 2 3 Suggested Bet: PHOENIX WARRIOR (7) to win. Race 6: INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH XMAS GIFT HEAT 3 THE BUCKET LIST (4) hasn’t missed a place in his last 17 starts and impressed two starts back when a fast finishing 3rd to Elegant Christian in a field that contained a number of inters participants. He is the class horse of the field and looks very hard to beat. OUR MAJOR MARK (1) struggles at GP but can be a danger drawn on the pegs. OHOKA SQUIRE (2) led throughout in good time last start and could give some cheek. IM A PEREGRINE (7) was excellent when a close up 4th last start but has an awkward draw to overcome. Tips: 4 1 2 7 Suggested Bet: THE BUCKET LIST (4) to win. Race 7: GANNONS FRED DOY MEMORIAL HANDICAP SS PACE SWIMBETWEENTHEFLAGS (1) was slowly away last week and missed his opportunity to lead when 3rd to Galileo. This field is collectively stronger so it is imperative he stepos quickly but he will be hard to beat if he leads. IM RIDDICK (9) faced the breeze when a close 2nd in the same race and should make his presence felt again. COPAGRIN (10) is the class horse of the field and will be charging home if anywhere near right. BETTOR PARTY (5) was a good last winner and is capable of working in his races. Tips: 1 9 10 5 Suggested Bet: IM RIDDICK (9) each way. Race 8: BREAR & DOONAN MS PACE THREE KINGS (4) produced a big finish to win at Northam two starts back before a fair 5th on the same track when he had to work hard in the final lap. He is well drawn here and should give a great sight. BOUNTY EYE (9) has faced the breeze at his last two starts when close up and looks suited by the distance. QTOWN RIP ROARING (10) will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and will be dangerous with luck in the final circuit. ERGO (2) is well drawn and shouldn’t be too far away. Tips: 4 9 10 2 Suggested Bet: THREE KINGS (4) each way. Race 9: SULLY`S PAINTING MS PACE JOHN OF ARC (4) is a richly talented but injury plagued pacer resuming here from a spell. He looks the likely leader and will run sectionals that will make him very hard to run down. SMOKEY THE BANDIT (2) has flown home at his last three starts and will appreciate the small field. ROCKET REIGN (1) will enjoy a lovely run and won’t be too far away, while VAPOUR (3) is also resuming from a spell and was in great form last campaign. Tips: 4 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: JOHN OF ARC (4) to win. Race 10: CLIPSAL 3YO MS PACE EL JACKO (6) has got better in each of his four WA wins and was superb at his last start when facing the breeze and overpowering FRANCO RAYNER (4) in a 55.3 last half. He is drawn wide here but is still clearly the one to beat. HARRY HOO (2) has won both of his WA starts extremely well and looks up to the rise in class. FRANCO RAYNER (4) disappointed at Northam on Tuesday but is too good to overlook. CHICAGO BULL (5) was a nice first up 3rd to EL JACKO (6) and will benefit from that hitout. Tips: 6 4 2 5 Suggested Bet: EL JACKO (6) to win. Bet Now
