Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Tips Posted on April 29, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: MASONMILL RESTAURANT TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP ARMED FORCE (6) hasn’t always been the most reliable trotter but he has been doing things right recently and has won five on end. He should be too good again if he does trot cleanly but losing his regular driver is a concern. CLEAN BREAK (1) crosses the Tasman with a solid record and no trials so monitor betting. ENJOY A COLDIE (8) has been consistent without winning and should be thereabouts again. BE FREE DREAMS (2) is capable of being in the finish if he does everything right. Tips: 6 1 8 2 Suggested Bet: ARMED FORCE (6) to win. Race 2: AUSTRALIAN VISA SPECIALISTS MS PACE BILLIES A STAR (10) is richly talented but was below his best during his Inters campaign. He is the class runner of this field if he is close to his best and has some luck from this draw. SLICK CHAPEL (1) resumes from a break without a spell but should give a sight from the pole. IMA CONNOISSEUR (2) found the lead easily last start but kicked away far too soon when run down by his stablemate and would be a winning hope if rated correctly. MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (6) will be charging home as usual but the draw makes it hard. Tips: 10 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: BILLIES A STAR (10) to win. Race 3: WESTFORCE 3YO MS PACE IDEAL TYSON (7) was a great 3rd in the WA Derby and lived up to that form when doing all the work and but still being too strong in an easier event at Bunbury on Tuesday. He is drawn wide in a better field but still appeals as the one to beat. MACH TIME (8) was a good 5th in the WA Derby and will be suited if there is a strong tempo throughout. LIGHTNING JOLT (5) beat a significantly weaker field at his last start but is up to this company with the right run. CHOK CHAI (1) impressed on debut and must be considered from the pole. Tips: 7 8 5 1 Suggested Bet: IDEAL TYSON (7) to win. Race 4: NATIONAL REINFORCING GROUP CONDITIONED HANDICAP SS PACE OUR IDEAL ACT (4) raced extremely well last campaign, beating The Bucket List in the Northam Cup and running a good 3rd to Tricky Styx in the Narrogin Cup. He has the handicap advantage over his main rivals and will be hard to beat with a safe start. GLENLOCHAR (10) and SIR TOSTI MACH (12) have been racing extremely well in mobile events and should be in the finish if they handle the stand. DONEGAL CHOKIN (5) was down the track last start but is much better suited off the front line. Tips: 4 10 12 5 Suggested Bet: OUR IDEAL ACT (4) to win. Race 5: BALLYHOOLY CIVIL MS PACE IDEAL ALICE (4) was held up two starts back before running a nice 3rd to Pacific Warrior last start. She will start from barrier two if the emergencies aren’t required and should give a big sight. FIREBOMB (2) is likely to start from the pole and ran a great 2nd from that draw two starts back when challenged from start to finish over a longer journey. CHANGE STRIDE (10) has the best form in the race and is a big hope despite the draw. DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (6) was a good all the way winner last start and can also unwind a big finish. Tips: 4 2 10 6 Suggested Bet: IDEAL ALICE (4) each way. Race 6: AM EARTHMOVING WA OAKS PRELUDE MS PACE DODOLICIOUS (9) did all the work and won the Dainty’s Daughter Classic before a successful NSW campaign that resulted in her running 2nd in their Oaks. She was far from disgraced on her return in the WA Derby and is the proven filly in this field. MADAME CROUPIER (1) disappointed at her last start in easier company but could be a big improver from this draw. MY PLATINUM BELLE (3) is well drawn and was impressive in winning her only WA start. DIOR MIA MORE (8) had her chance last start but her times have been slick. Tips: 9 1 3 8 Suggested Bet: MADAME CROUPIER (1) each way. Race 7: MONFORD GROUP CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC EL BARCELONA (3) created a big impression with a 1.55.6 win on debut when he made a couple of mistakes and was far from disgraced when breezing and running 3rd to MAJOR POCKET (4) in a sizzling 1.53.8. He is drawn inside his main rival tonight and can turn the tables. MAJOR POCKET (4) is undefeated in his two runs and is the obvious danger. MACZAFFAIR (1) is the only filly in the event but has shown plenty of ability and must be considered from the pole. HEZA HEAD HONCHO (5) had his chance last start but won’t be far away. Tips: 3 4 1 5 Suggested Bet: EL BARCELONA (3) to win. Race 8: PIPELINE TECHNICS MS PACE LETTUCERIPRITA (11) has been racing well in stronger company including a 1.55.7 win over 2130 three runs back. He couldn’t get into the race but still ran on well in 1.53.8 last start and will appreciate the drop in class. CAPTAIN UNDER FIRE (3) doesn’t have great numerical form but grows a leg in front and could obtain that position tonight. PAY ME CULLEN (1) hasn’t shown great speed from the mobile in the past but will settle handy and was unlucky last start. TANAKA EAGLE (7) flies the gate and would be hard to beat if he found the found the top. Tips: 11 3 1 7 Suggested Bet: LETTUCERIPRITA (11) to win. Race 9: K & N MAKEOVERS MS PACE ANOTHER AYJAY (1) is racing extremely well with two wins and two placings from his last five starts. He led throughout for an easy win last start and will be hard to beat if he holds the front or sits on TERRORFROMSERPEY (2) and gets clear running in the straight. TERRORFROMSERPEY (2) has terrific gate speed and his winning chances will be determined early as he will need to cross. HOLY GRAIL (5) suffered a flat tyre when placed last start and is racing well. GLENFERRIE AFFAIR (10) is drawn to be a place chance. Tips: 1 2 5 10 Suggested Bet: ANOTHER AYJAY (1) to win. Race 10: CURRENCY FAIR WESTBRED MS PACE AUSSIE DELIGHT (6) resumed from a six month break with an all the way win when he flew the gate and then dashed home in 56.8. He has the best gate speed on the front line and will be extremely hard to catch if he can cross at the start. ROCKNROLL WHITBY (3) hasn’t had much luck lately and could be a big improver here. TOMMY BE GOOD (12) disappointed in a stand last start but must be considered on his previous mobile form. ALL WILLIAMS (5) should be running on and is a chance at odds. Tips: 6 3 12 5 Suggested Bet: AUSSIE DELIGHT (6) to win. Bet Now
