Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 11, 2017August 11, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: ALLWOOD STUD FARM MS PACE REAL ZEAL (1) had every chance when 2nd to Livin La Bamba before finishing midfield against a stronger field. He meets moderate opposition here and has the advantage of the pole draw. FOREVER FASTER (3) had finished down the track in seven runs but bounced back with an emphatic victory in good time here last start and could go on with it now. QUINCEY BROGDEN (10) should get a nice run and was close up in a stronger race last week. BETHANY AITCH (7) isn’t suited by the draw but can be in the finish with the right run. Tips: 1 3 10 7 Suggested Bet: REAL ZEAL (1) each way. Race 2: FOLLOW THE STARS AT ALLWOOD MS PACE WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (3) put the writing on wall with 2nds at his first two WA starts and then led throughout in quick time last week. His chances will be greatly improved if he finds the top but he should give a great sight either way. GANGBUSTER (1) is in great form and holds the key to the race as he probably has the speed to lead if desired. IMA ROCKNROLL LEGEND (9) will be giving his rivals a considerable start but is a chance if they go hard early. JOHNNY DISCO (10) will get a nice run on the pegs and can be in the money. Tips: 3 1 9 10 Suggested Bet: GANGBUSTER (1) each way. Race 3: LOMBO MANDINGO AT ALLWOOD STUD MARES MS PACE MAIA MAGUIRE (3) has finished 2nd at her last three starts and gets the chance to break through tonight. She was brave last week when she did all of the work and was gunned down late and looks a good chance to find the lead here. MY PLATINUM BELLE (10) has won two of her last four starts and could be the danger to her stablemate if she gets out at the right time. KISSMECOUGAR (12) is flying and did beat Maia Maguire last start. FOXY DAME (11) raced in stronger company last campaign and should be considered first up. Tips: 3 10 12 11 Suggested Bet: MAIA MAGUIRE (3) to win. Race 4: FLY LIKE AN EAGLE AT ALLWOOD STUD MS PACE THEREUGO (9) has won four of his last five starts, all when bursting to the front soon after the start. He will adopt the same tactics again and will be hard to catch if he does find the top. CAMPORA (7) has won two of his last three and looks the main danger here. ABRAXAS BLUES (6) will be suited if there is an early burn and can run over the top of them with the right run. YOUR EXCUSED (1) is drawn to get a nice run on the pegs and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 9 7 6 1 Suggested Bet: THEREUGO (9) to win. Race 5: ALLWOOD STUD – THE HIDDEN GEM IN THE SWAN VALLEY THE SCHRADER QUALIFYING HEAT 2 THE REVOLUTION (1) won in 1.54.9 two starts back before finishing midfield behind MILITARY MASTER (6). He is drawn to lead or race handy and should give a great sight. LIVURA (12) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last two starts but both efforts were full of merit and he must be considered. DANIELJOHN (11) was a good winner in easier company last start and is up to the rise in class. ARGYLE RED (2) peaked on his run first up but will be fitter for that run and can play a part from this draw. Tips: 1 12 11 2 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (12) each way. Race 6: MARE & FOAL AGISTMENT AVAILABLE AT ALLWOOD STUD MS PACE AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (8) has won five of his last six, including a scintillating 1.52.5 victory here last week. He is drawn wide but importantly inside his main rival and is the one to beat again. VULTAN TIN (9) was brilliantly rated to beat Sprinter last week and looks the main danger but the draw doesn’t help. EL HOMBRE (6) was placed behind AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (8) last start and can be in the money again. MACH TIME (3) was a solid last start 3rd and has the draw to race handy. Tips: 8 9 6 3 Suggested Bet: AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (8) to win. Race 7: ALLWOOD STUD MARATHON HANDICAP SS PACE MOTU PREMIER (13) has won five of his past six starts, including a strong 1.55.9 win from the breeze last start. He switches to the stand but will be hard to beat if he steps cleanly. THE BUCKET LIST (14) performed very well at his first four runs back from a spell before disappointing as a $1.90 favourite. He has had three weeks since that run and can bounce back. RUB OF THE GREEN (12) has been impressive in beating easier fields and is up to the rise in class. TOMMY BE GOOD (8) loves these conditions and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 13 14 12 8 Suggested Bet: MOTU PREMIER (13) to win. Race 8: ALLWOOD STUD SPECIALISING IN AI MS PACE IT AINT ROYAL (3) hasn’t finished better than midfield in his last 11 starts but could be a big improver in this ordinary field. He has worked hard in his recent efforts and can enjoy a better trip on the speed tonight. GOTTA GO CHOCOLATE (10) was a nice 4th behind Ideal Tyson last start and will appreciate a big drop in class. SEEKNYOUSHALLFIND (4) and THE REAL PACKAGE (6) are both racing fairly and muse be considered. Tips: 3 10 4 6 Suggested Bet: IT AINT ROYAL (3) to win. Race 9: YEARLING PREPARATION AVAILABLE AT ALLWOOD STUD 3YO MS PACE MACZAFFAIR (8) is the state’s best filly and was a strong 1.55.4 winner from the breeze last start. She takes on the boys here but has shown she is up to the task and is the one to beat. THE PIMA INDIAN (3) makes his debut and must be considered on his 40m Byford trial win in good time. TISADREAM (12) has led throughout to win his last two in impressive fashion but will find it harder here. ANVIL ROLLOVER (5) won four of his last five starts before as freshen up but is best suited when leading. Tips: 8 3 12 5 Suggested Bet: MACZAFFAIR (8) to win. SuperPick - Race 9 no. 8 MACZAFFAIR - Money Back – Run 2nd Race 10: WWW.ALLWOODSTUD.COM.AU 3YO WESTBRED MS PACE MIDNIGHT MAN (1) led throughout to beat War Club before finding th4 front again when 2nd to Rockin The Boys. This looks slightly easier and he should prove hard to beat. BUDD SIDEWINDER (4) has been placed at his past four starts following a Wagin win and should be thereabouts again. COMBAT CRUSADE (10) is drawn to get a nice run on the pegs and looks a great place chance. DON’T LOOK BLACK (11) won in easier company last start but may go on with it now. Tips: 1 4 10 11 Suggested Bet: MIDNIGHT MAN (1) to win.
