Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 1, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: TABTOUCH WESTBRED MS PACE DODOLICIOUS (7) is one of the state’s best mares and has already won over $400,000. She resumes from a spell without a trial but her class makes her the one to beat. KHUN RATHA (6) is back to his best, winning two of his last four starts and looks the main danger. ARGYLE RED (5) has disappointed in his three runs back from a spell but can improve tonight. GLOW BRIGHT (3) is suited by the small field and can be placed from this draw. Tips: 7 6 5 3 Suggested Bet: KHUN RATHA (6) each way. Race 2: OWNERS ONLY MARES MS PACE MAIA MAGUIRE (2) has been racing consistently with placings at her last five starts. She has had her chances but still looks the one to beat here. ITS MY LUCKNOW (10) has won two of her last four, including a last start win over SEA ME SMILE (5) when she utilised the sprint lane. This draw suits and she can be dangerous late. ANNA FAYE (4) and SEA ME SMILE (5) are racing well and ran the placings in that event and shouldn’t be far away again tonight. Tips: 2 10 4 5 Suggested Bet: MAIA MAGUIRE (2) to win. Race 3: RETRAVISION MS PACE WEBB ELLIS (9) had solid NSW form but disappointed when fancied at his first two WA starts earlier in the year. He has since had a spell and resumes here without a trial so monitor the betting. BEBRAVE (6) also resumes without a trial but was racing in stronger company last campaign and must be considered. OUR JEREMES GEM (1) had good Albany form earlier in the year and that can stand up against this moderate line up. MAJESTIC PRINCE (3) has disappointed in his three WA runs but has more ability than he has been displaying. Tips: 9 6 1 3 Suggested Bet: WEBB ELLIS (9) to win. Race 4: WESTRAL MS PACE WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (9) hasn’t finished further back than 2nd in his five WA starts and performed well when finishing in that position behind Rabchenko here last week. He is drawn wide but this is a significant drop in class and he looks very hard to beat. SIGHTSEEING ANVIL (8) was an impressive all the way winner in stronger company last week but isn’t as well drawn tonight. YACKANDANDAH (11) was a good 2nd in a weaker field last start and can be in the finish. BILLY MACK (2) cam improve from this draw. Tips: 9 8 1 2 Suggested Bet: WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (9) to win. Race 5: PRINCI BUTCHERS MS PACE EL HOMBRE (9) has been racing well in stronger company, including a 2nd in 1.52.5 and a win here two starts back. He couldn’t get into the race last week but this looks significantly weaker and he can overcome the wide draw. MESSI (2) led throughout to beat Livura three starts back and will give a great sight if he finds the front. IM MASTER CHARLIE (1) was crossed from this barrier recently but should be thereabouts. MCCLINCHIE (10) is now with the Hall camp and should be considered from a nice trailing draw. Tips: 9 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: EL HOMBRE (9) to win. Race 6: NEW SEASON PACE MS PACE RUN ONEOVER (2) has been placed at his last four starts and his hard running style is leaving him vulnerable at the end of his races. He does make it hard for horses wider on the track and that makes him the one to beat. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (4) ran on very well to finish 5th last week and will appreciate the smaller field tonight. TRICKY STYX (5) beat similar fields at her last two starts before a break and has trialled nicely for her return. BILLIES A STAR (1) will get a perfect run and can be placed. Tips: 2 4 5 1 Suggested Bet: RUN ONEOVER (2) to win. Race 7: SLATER GARTRELL SPORTS MS PACE SHANDALE (12) won three of his four starts before a spell and ran on nicely when 7th in a better field first up. He is drawn poorly but looks the class runner of the field and should give a great sight. MACH TIME (1) is a different horse in front and his past two efforts can be overlooked. He led throughout for an impressive win three starts back and will be looking to repeat that effort. IDEAL TYSON (10) is known for his toughness but could be dangerous if he gets out early enough. FERNLEIGH REBEL (2) looks a place chance from the draw. Tips: 12 1 10 2 Suggested Bet: SHANDALE (12) to win. SuperPick - Race 7 no. 12 SHANDALE - Money Back Race 8: SKY RACING MS PACE NOTHING IN BETWEEN (1) doesn’t have form to write home about but has drawn the pole in one of the worst metropolitan events run at GP and looks hard to beat. BETTORS AVENUE (5) raced in better company before a break and should be in the finish. READY FOR TAKEOFF (2) ran 2nd to Bellerkerrin in a recent trial and is drawn nicely. FREE TO AIR (9) has a decent turn of foot but has the widest draw to overcome. Tips: 1 5 2 9 Suggested Bet: NOTHING IN BETWEEN (1) to win. Bet Now
