RACE 1

MAGICONI is fairly well exposed at the jumpouts for Matthew Williams, beat race winners in a recent Camperdown jumpout and looks to have natural ability. Drawn out but has shown gate speed to be handy in running. STAYINHARMONY is another local showing up at the j/out’s relished the blinkers winning his recent heat and draws the inside if that is any advantage on the day. FREWDAMOSS was given a solid test at Pak j/out’s and will be ready to go. GAMADALE PADDY is a big watch on debut, kept under cover to this point.

RACE 2

Low race, nothing would surprise. VIEUX RICHE won’t get a better opportunity to win,  a quiet jumpout between runs. Potentially a set play by William Morrissey DEVOTED BY YOU purchased from northern NSW as a five start maiden, two j’o’s locally, hard to form an opinion, watch betting. RAGHNALL is fit and ready to win, hit the line nicely last start at the mile again suited up in distance. NIGHTYNIGHT was ok in a moderate maiden at Stawell last start, wet track could see her improve. LIBBY ANN and VIalso winning claims

RACE 3

Keen on KINGS REFLECTION  a promising staying type to make his 2nd start a winning one, impressed at jumpouts and again on debut when set a task from the wide gate. Perfect draw for this step up in distance and his action holds no fears on a rain-affected surface. If the favourite doesn’t show, FIRE TYPE will take beating, a strong SP profile to date and has been disappointing, wet track helps. DURHAM is a strong chance to breakthrough after a run of consistent performances. CRACKEROFANIGHT would need a market push on debut.

RACE 4

POINT NEPEAN races best when kept fresh and follows a similar profile after winning at Hamilton four weeks ago where he dictated terms, doesn’t have to lead to be winning again. FIELD OF LIGHTS won fresh over the steeples and then a vet issue at Terang, big chance to bounce back. SANIKA and GOLDEN GARDEN will go forward and give a sight, the latter was good fresh and battled second-up expecting a better showing third-up.

RACE 5

SHOMA can bounce out of the Morphettville Guineas and pick up the first win of his career; the former kiwi was solid first-up at his Aust debut then again at Morphettville when outclassed. Wet track is key to his chances and standover man Nash Rawiller won’t miss him. ENZO CHARLEY is knocking on the door of a win, tendency to lay in under pressure so wide draw no negative. LE BEAU GOSSEY was a little disappointing at Ballarat after presenting to win, will go forward. ZETHEROS next best, resuming.

RACE 6

Small field assembled for the Galleywood hurdle, KARBURAN is the lamplighter, THE STORYTELLER will trail, he was impressive at his first attempt over two miles and jumped clean. Beat a late stumbling Ardakan and expect that form to measure up. Best of the locals could be FABALOT always consistent and gets preferred track conditions.

RACE 7

Good race! THEBELMONTGANGSTER was backed for plenty first-up off some sweet jumpouts. He failed badly, reportedly down to the firm track, need to take on trust but could improve sharply. BOLTSAVER is a gun wet tracker and was home strongly first-up, wide draw likely to be an advantage late in the day. ATOMIC GOLD was impressive beating a weak field at Mt Gambier then knocked up in the Woodford Cup, spelled, no trials, market key. VIANNARA, ULTRA BLUE & I’DONTGETIT all have claims.

RACE 8

LA FRACAS ran very well but no match for the impressive local Recon in the Hareeba Stakes. He improves significantly on rain-affected tracks but takes on the exciting OLIVEANOTHERDAY who continues impress every time he steps out this campaign, now been up some time and unknown on heavy. CORNICHE is flying for the Mathrick stable, loves wet ground and draws out a possible advantage. One at odds, SWIFTIE HARRIET not hopeless.

RACE 9

Tough race, chances everywhere and they will go quick, the best lanes come late in the day are worth noting. Local trainer Tom Dabernig holds a strong hand. GWEN’S GIRL has jumped out like a rocket, she is unknown on a heavy track, take catching. Stablemate ROMANTIC MISS has drawn the opposite end with John Allen and is proven on wet, back to 1000m suits after knocking up in the Redelva Stakes. CONFLICT got back in a hot race at Sandown where on speed were favoured, also in the mix.

RACE 10

A brutal finish. OMAMORI looks a set play third-up with Nash Rawiller engaged after making good ground at Sale last start. Proven on wet tracks and hardest to beat. INHERENTLY is racing super without winning and has a fitness edge on a few key rivals resuming. However, no wet track form to speak of so have take on trust. ROYAL EMBLEM makes his Australian debut of two quiet jumpouts, no exposed form on wet tracks. FOIRE DE TRONE was excellent late to win first-up at Sandown, a consistent mare & always thereabouts.
