RACE 1

Tricky race, some first starters on a heavy track. MISS LOLA battled out a two horse war at Moe after switching states, she had every chance there and goes forward again from the wide alley. That’s her best chance. AZULITA debut for the Hope stable, under a ride but responded well in a recent jumpout, looks to have some talent.  Big watch on ESTATE AGENT debuting for Michael Farrell, latest jumpout creates interest. PRAY TELL likely goes back, another to show ability at the trials.

RACE 2

Like what YOUMZAIN EXPRESS did in his latest trial, he looks destined for middle distance racing the way he was able to run through the line and a wet 1400m on debut should suit. VALLICE lacked early speed before hitting the line hard at Donald on debut, a key player in this open race and bred for wet track conditions. SATONO’S SHOUT made a solid debut chasing at Warrnambool, peaked on his run late, can improve further with B Melham up. Meness trialled ok, another with a hope.

RACE 3

Small field, no pace, hard to get enthused. OAK BEACH has disappointed since her good fresh effort, small field suits and should take up the running to pinch a win this prep. HOTINHERE can be positive also with Craig Williams aboard, they appear the two main hopes. Wider chances to MORISU OJO and FOIRE DE TRONE, she is a third-up winner previously and won well here fresh.

RACE 4

Another small field and no pace. The Western district visitors hold the key to the race. ASTRADEEL is airborne and loves the heavy conditions. He could end up close enough to strike with his big weight. HAWK POWER was game in defeat in the Casterton Cup and is ready to win and looks suited to this assignment. EMPRESS OF THE SUN is another knocking on the door, she is a month between runs, not a negative in this camp, watch betting.

RACE 5

Leader DIDN’T MISS MANY and VIVACISSIMO come through the key form race, the former has Holly Durnan’s 3kg claim to give her the edge. LOUIS BARTHAS is suited by the track conditions, comes in off a let-up and a stable change now with Team Hayes, no recent jumpout, watch betting. LOVELYCUT was well-backed and disappointed at Flemington, will find this easier against the boys. RAIKOKE is hard and fit and not out of it.

RACE 6

BIOLOGICS was very impressive at the trials and again winning first-up at Werribee, she didn’t get all favours and won with plenty in hand, dont mind the wide draw with her pattern, if they’re running she should start a warm favourite. AMPING LASS will have a tactical advantage and found a progressive one at Caulfield last start. BRILLIANT HORIZON goes well fresh, TAN TAT DELIGHT another minor money hope.

RACE 7

Impressive Cranbourne debut winner ASTEQUER ran well at start two behind sub winner Clever Trever and a wet track may suit. THUNDERHAWK ploughed through the wet conditions at Seymour and the forecast looks favourable if good enough. ULTRA BLUE is likely leader, been up a while, another favoured on a heavy track. ZERRE is an interesting runner first-up in Australia, blinkers have helped, now first-up with Craig Williams not hopeless.

Suggested Bet: ASTEQUER win

RACE 8

RODRIGUEZ is a mudlark and loved his first-up run at Caulfield, wide gate no issue, he can sustain a run, and it won’t hurt going early. ROYAL FLARE was well-backed last week and did enough to score, on the quick back-up and surely improves further into this. LAUBERHORN has the plum draw with Mark Zahra and should take up the running. OLIVIA ROSE another who can settle handy.
