RACE 1

The Dundeel filly NEXT TUESDAY was good in defeat on debut at Pakenham, given time to balance up early, she attacked the line in the manner of a coming winner and the extra distance suits. TRIUMVIRATE was game in defeat at Geelong, he seemed to handle the wet track conditions and that could be an advantage for this. OBON is racing well yet to break through, on breeding alone, any softening track conditions will aide his cause. FROM YESTERDAY including for multiples.

RACE 2

BALTIC BLIZZARD was heavily bet and bolted in at Ballarat to break his maiden returning from a break. He comes into this with plenty in reserve and entitled to start favourite on his potential despite the sharp rise in grade. LOFT VEGA looks the danger and a talent, unlucky on debut and stylish win last start, benefits from the rise in distance. BEAUTIFULLY maps to be forward in a small field and Williams could look to dictate terms. That looks her best chance of winning. TILL QUEEN is racing super, this is much stronger that she’s faced previously.

RACE 3

FARMELIA was the subject of strong support for a shrewd stable here on debut and dug in late to score. A likeable will to win gives her another winning chance at the lower level. VEGA VIXEN had her chance at Flemington and was slightly disappointing after winning at this track on debut, up in distance ridden with a sit could show improvement. RUPTURED has looked ok at the jumpouts, debuts for a very good 2YO stable, any market moves bare watching. STELLAR CIPHER wont shock first-up in the Waller stable, jumpout’s giving little away.

RACE 4

Tricky race, hard to make a confident case for any runner. BEACH PAD is on the up. Like the extra distance here, RASP was very brave in a two-horse war at Geelong, hard and fit, he’ll run to his best, any rain on the day helps. NATURAL RULER is a key speed runner, Williams will surely take it up from a wide gate, needs it on his terms to be winning. Wary of DURBAN HARBOUR on the improve 2nd up and OAK BEACH been up a while now. Hard race, no firm opinion.

RACE 5

TEMPRANILLO can sprint well fresh for the Waller camp despite just one quiet jumpout. A good winner at this track last campaign, lacks early speed, draw no negative will balance up and come late. BLUE BANDIT likes soft conditions and won a similar race last start, has a nasty gate to overcome. DANTOOINE is fit and flying and will give a big sight on-speed. TAN TAT DELIGHT third-up has a nice draw, she’s limited so couldn’t take the current price. Deep race beyond these.

RACE 6

TENNESSSEE BOUND is likely to be the best horse come out of this race and gets the speed on to shop his wares fresh. The speed horses are KILLIANA and CALL TO GLORY the latter is suited if we do get rain on the day as the superior wet-tracker and the claim an advantage. ALONG THE RIVER deserves respect, he’s in career-best form and the rider joins him, barrier is tricky. Thin race behind the favourite.

RACE 7

They should go quick early, MAUNA KEA MISS maps for a sweet run in behind the speed, a little disappointing against market expectation last start, should get every hope to improve into this third-up. SALUTED loved the tight circuit winning here fresh, set a good gallop and kept running, no reason why she can’t repeat. ACTUALITY finds an easy race, if she’s fair dinkum this is her time to stand up. CAVALRY GIRL and RICH DOTTIE will be thereabouts.

RACE 8

Brutal finish. Many winning hopes, if PRINCE TYCOON can repeat his first-up win then expect him hard to beat, he’s a curious case, need to see him do it again. SILVER MAGNATE is the class runner resuming, think best form on dry, she’s on weather watch. Won’t shock to see MEH KEFFI sprint well fresh for the flying Lloyd Kennewell stable. BARBARIC LAD has a nice soft draw, he’s always thereabouts.
