Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on October 30, 2025October 30, 2025 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 Genuine speed on paper. REGAL AWARD is a work in progress with his race manners and both wins have come when given his head and sent, no need to change a winning recipe. PANOVA swooped from the tail to win the G3 Reginald Allen, on trial at the mile, if they cook up front she’s a threat from the back. WEST OF SWINDON buckled under pressure in the Caulfield Guineas, rider reported he needs softer ground, the forecast is unfriendly but expect him outside lead and given his chance. VINROCK needs to be cuddled to get a strong mile and has drawn the ideal gate to do so. Selections: 5,9,2,1 Suggested Bet: REGAL AWARD win RACE 2 SHEZA ALIBI finds an ideal race for black-type returning to her own sex as the leading on-speed chance with a perfect draw. TEINE AULELEI was luckless in the Crockett Stakes following them home along rail. The bigger Flemington track offers more hope, she will again give them a start from the wide draw. MISS REVEALING has improved every time she’s stepped out, jumpouts to race-day and was heavily-backed to win a maiden last start, the margin flattering the clock. She’ll need to go back and be dictated to by tempo. STARDOM will assume the role of pacemaker as she did winning the Crockett, she kept finsing under pressure, needs a very soft lead to be a winning chance. Selections: 4,9,12,2 Suggested Bet: SHEZA ALIBI to win. Multiples with 4,9,12 RACE 3 Tricky race. Tempo is not overly strong, CABALLUS appears a set play second-up after a good closing effort in the Sydney Stakes. She always improves with a run and has the straight line experience through the Inglis Sprint here earlier in her career. GEEGEES MISTRUTH proved she’s up to this level charging home off a fast speed in the Caulfield sprint, that was off 7 weeks, more to come from her with a favourable draw. STAR PATROL is a key speed influence and can lead again, he was given windburn by War Machine in the Gilgai first-up, ok second-up, perhaps peaking here. ROYAL INSIGNIA can improve with the prospect of a good surface. Selections: 5,9,4,13 Suggested Bet: CABALUS win RACE 4 GETTA GOOD FEELING was aimed up in the Guineas last start and didn’t disappoint, she’s brings the clear best form lines to be winning this race and maps well for her 1st attempt at 2000m. Best of the day. SA visitor FREEDOM FLAME is improving as the distances get longer, she enjoyed a sweet trip stalking the lead last time and was strong through the line, yes to 2000m. FASHIONABLE is another who will appreciate the rise in distance, her form lines are hard to line up. STRICTLY BUSINESS has been set a task going 1400-2000 at her third career start but her first-up win was impressive! This race falls away quickly and she’s one who can put herself in contention for the VRC Oaks. Selections: 1,3,7,5 Suggested Bet: GETTA GOOD FEELING win RACE 5 ZOU SENSATION is a rock solid on-speed horse, very genuine and has been back to the jumpouts between runs given an easy time, the draw puts him in the A1 position again. KING ZEPHYR was disappointing to the eye at Caulfield, reviewing the meeting he had some excuses, again receives a barrier which is potentially problematic. REGAL ZEUS can improve sharply second-up, burnt off behind the rejuvenated Jigsaw at MV, he should position up outside lead and give a sight at odds. MEDIA WORLD took a sit last time, expect they roll the dice with intent returning to Flemington. Selections: 4,13,8,3 Suggested Bet: Multiples with 13,4,8 RACE 6 Two Sydney colts hold the key to the race. BEIWACHT won the Golden Rose in track record time, importantly, he’s ticked the 1400m box so expect him strong late at the end of a straight line 1200m. Given a typical Waller jumpout here last week as a sighter. BEADMAN quickened up nicely in his lead-up jumpout, arguably unlucky in the Roman Consul, i like the booking of B Shinn for this horse. TENTYRIS launched off a fast pace to win the Gothic. He’s timed to peak after a slow build this campaign, may need a horse such as HIDDEN MOTIVE to run it hard up front to suit him. MY GLADIOLA is a proper straight track horse, she can sprint quickly off moderate speeds which is often the case in these straight races, the big $$ on offer here should quicken them up. Selections: 1,10,3,12 Suggested Bet: Multiples around 1 & 10 RACE 7 Main chances all come through the same race. O’SHEAMUS was having a prep run in the G2 Vase, held up at a key stage and found the line strongly once clear. This is his target race and looks the most likely to run out a strong 2500m. OBSERVER had all favours when heavily-backed to win the Vase, he was well-ridden to assume control early and quickened to put the race away, eased down late. He’s a high-class colt and that alone may be enough. PROVIDENCE had the benefit of momentum around the MV circuit and sustained a long run into 2nd, he should get the trip. ARABIAN PRINCE will stay on the evidence of his lead-ups. Selections: 9,1,6,17 Suggested Bet: O’sheamus 1 x 3 RACE 8 LEICA LUCY made an outstanding return to the campaign charging home in the Let’s Elope off a slow tempo, gap between to the Toorak worked home well into the placings. Another quiet jumpout to keep her ticking over. She will be sweating on the race leader to run a solid clip which is almost bankable and should string the field out to open the gaps. PRIDE OF JENNI fares best with the prospect of rain having disappeared from the radar. She finds a race without much pressure and dictates terms. BENAGIL was impressive upon return from a QLD campaign, shape and pattern against at Caulfield she hit the line sweetly, another jumpout between runs, she appears ready to peak. DAMASK ROSE had no luck in the Toorak, reunites with B Shinn. Selections: 6,1,5,4 Suggested Bet: Multiples with 6,1,5 RACE 9 Wide open finish. MERRIGOLD produced the best jumpout i’ve seen from her leading into this campaign and was luckless at Caulfield fresh when ridden with no intent early. She’s being aimed up at a G3 and tackles the straight for the first time, senior rider on, she can land forward of midfield and give a big sight. Excellent return from SOFT LOVE in the Alinghi and is well-placed against her own sex and has a liking for straight racing. GENEROSITY has the premium SF lines for this event but lucked out at the barrier draw. ARABIAN SUMMER is running to her absloute best and peaked late in the fast run G2 Caulfield Sprint, she is thereabouts again on current form. Selections: 11,13,6,2 Suggested Bets: Two bet play. MERRIGOLD 1 x 4 & SOFT LOVE win NEXT BEST: R1#5 REGAL AWARD ROUGHIE: R9 #11 MERRIGOLD Market Market
