Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Caulfield Preview Posted on October 10, 2025October 10, 2025 | Posted by TABtouch RACE 1 MR VERSE failed to handle the step up to 2000m after a scintillating win at Sandown over the mile, back in trip suits and rates on top. NEARING LIBERTY is a consistent galloper drawn to advantage in this event and is over the odds. OVERACTIVE has promised more than he’s delivered, drops 5kg for the class rise and can figure. BLINDEDBYTHELIGHT is progressive, should have finished off the race better last start considering the run so the class rise worries. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 10 – 13 Suggested Bet: NEARING LIBERTY each-way RACE 2 POINT BARROW was enormous over the final furlong at MV after getting rearwards early. She draws out and will give a start once more, expect her finishing hard once more. TRES MAGNIFIQUE can go forward and race handy after a strong win a deep maiden at Ballarat on debut, Mark Zahra key booking. VIVID SUN has a big finish she’ll need luck weaving runs but capable. SHEZA ALIBI is hard to line up, respect the stable when they get one from QLD. Numbers: 5 – 15 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet: POINT BARROW to win RACE 3 YOUNG WERTHER is well drawn and was home in fast splits last start, now gets a weight advantage off key rival PLYMOUTH, he was heavily-backed to win the Benalla Cup and was sound without being impressive, this harder. BRAYDEN STAR and WHISKY ON THE HILL come through the Heatherlie Hcp and are hard to split. Wide open race. Numbers: 3 – 9 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet: YOUNG WERTHER each-way RACE 4 BON MISTRESS put in a terrific run fresh at Sandown making ground in an on-pace dominated race, can improve further second-up, best at odds. MOLLY BLOOM is ready to peak third-up for the Waller stable, lumped a big weight fresh and had every chance at Stakes level last start, in a race lacking depth she has the class. SEE WHAT I SEE is building a good profile and enjoyed a trailing run to score last time, every chance to repeat the effort. OH TOO GOOD is well-placed, she’s managing feet issues and a firm track may niggle. Numbers: 10 – 4 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet: BON MISTRESS 1 x 4 RACE 5 BENAGIL was an Australasian Oaks winner before heading to QLD, her jumpouts suggest she can sprit well fresh holding onto some of that residual fitness from the winter campaign. KING ZEPHYR is again well-placed for an elite stable, didn’t handle MV but made amends last start with the right run. SNOW PATROL is working back from an injury, his jumpouts have been impressive, may need the run, rates a place hope at odds. ZOU SENSATION will give them something to catch. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet: BENAGIL each-way RACE 6 TREASURETHE MOMENT was solid chasing the flying Pride Of Jenni at MV, that was off a setback, the race rated fair, she would need to have improved off the run, hardest to beat. BUCKAROO loomed to win a fast run Memsie and couldn’t hold off the gallant SIR DELIUS who has franked the form since. GLOBE is racing well but isn’t the same horse he once was. HEZASHOCKA will be getting set for other targets. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet: TREASURETHE MOMENT to win RACE 7 LEICA LUCY gets into a Toorak Handicap with an expected fast tempo at 1600m after finding two slowly run races this prep, she will be charging at them late and is over the odds. EVAPORATE is one of the key speed influences and is dogged in a fight. SEPALS is untapped and shown a liking for this circuit, rise in weight is the challenge. LAZZURA can also figure with James McDonald and a soft run from the draw. Numbers: 9 – 3 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet: LEICA LUCY each way RACE 8 Open race. Waller holds a strong hand with his Sydney 3YO’s. AUTUMN BOY is a class galloper with a tricky draw, he will need luck with Damian Lane from the inner draw and may look to sit closer to the speed. WODETON was excellent in defeat in a fast race last time, he’s drawn the opposite end out wide and will need the speed on. NAVY PILOT gets the best run in transit and can repeat his last start win. VINROCK the best of the locals, needs to go forward. Numbers: 9 – 2 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet: None RACE 9 GOLDEN BOOM has been slow to come to hand since coming to Melbourne (as has the Gollan stable) didn’t get many favours in the Moir, recent Cranbourne jumpout was impressive and Blake Shinn takes over, expecting improvement. TROPICUS was a surprise first-up winner of the Group 3 here last time for Team Freedman, he’s a consistent horse and responded well in a recent jumpout. ARABIAN SUMMER is right in this race, excellent without luck fresh and performed strongly in a recent Flem jumpout alongside two sub winners. NIANCE best form would win, query on how she’s returned. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet: GOLDEN BOOM each-way RACE 10 VESTAS is a lightly-tried mare with a short but impressive turn of foot, loved her jumpouts leading into this prep after a QLD stint, she gets a nice trail in behind and can finish over the top. AMEENA is a justified favourite, class to win, whether the 59kg pulls her up is the query. SHE’S BULLETPROOF is in a similar boat, her best form would have her at the top of the market, scratchy last prep, six weeks off and a jumpout win, need to see her win one. FANCIFY is the likely leader and may get it soft. Numbers: 12 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet: VESTAS 1 x 3 BEST BET R2#5 POINT BARROW VALUE R10#12 VESTAS ROUGHIE R4#10 BON MISTRESS Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 3,5,7,9 2,3,8,9 2,6,8,9 1,3,4,12 MULTI Win R2#5 POINT BARROW / Place R7#9 LEICA LUCY / Place 10#2 VESTAS Market Market
