 This looks our insurance bet of Euro 2016.  As it stands we are all guns Germany so we need to cover our losses if they do not make it past France in the Semi Finals.

If France fire through Euro 2016 they will not be beaten and they will score the highest of any side in the Tournament.  With the likes of Griezman, Pogba, Martial, Payet, Giroud and Sissoko there are plenty of goals to be scored for a side that is going to make the last four.

Match Overview

This shapes as a wonderful opening game to the tournament at Stade De France on June 10.

Romania have been rebuilt by Anghel Iordãnescu the veteran Manager who led them to the quarter final stage in 1994.  Romania had reached only one international tournament since their run to the last eight of Euro 2000, but have responded to the urgings of the old master with the Tricolorii qualifying unbeaten, with the lowest amount of goals conceded but also displaying their defensive based game is going to be their play, by also qualifying as one of the lowest scoring teams in Europe.

France will be aware of creating positive energy in the Tournament opener and the “Les Bleus” will want to avoid a similar opener to their disastrous Euro 2008 in Zurich when a tame 0-0 draw was played.  The French look to be well placed in their Group so this match with all of its potential to be a draw if Romania have their way, could prove to be one the biggest tests for the hosts early in the Euro 2016.

Player Watch

Expect Paul Pogba the Juventus midfielder to be the player to carry France through this tournament so watch for Pogba to be amongst the goals in the early matches.

Group Prediction

France looks to have a kind draw in Group A against Switzerland, Romania and Albania.  They can be taken as an early banker to win Group A.
