Chris’ Doomben Best Bets Posted on November 3, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No. 3 Valfierno Very unlucky here last Saturday when strung up for a run at a vital stage in the straight. Once into the clear 200m from the line he wound up well to put his nose down one stride before the post and one stride after however not where it counted! Up to 1200m tomorrow is of no concern, drawn well again I’d expect him to bounce right back into winning form. RACE 7 No. 9 Lord Coconuts Not the easiest of horses to catch however he does appear to have found a very suitable race tomorrow off a very good performance at his last start. Having his first run for 5 weeks he went right back to last early on before zipping home down the straight to break 22 seconds for his last 400m being the only runner in the race to do so. Drawn well he’s a good chance to settle much closer which will only increase his winning chances. RACE 8 No. 1 Colosimo Chris Waller trained filly who was set an impossible task here last week drifting way too far back out of her ground before running home well down the straight in a race which wasn’t run to suit tempo wise either. She’s busting to win a race and with a little aggression early on from Robbie Fradd this week she can settle closer and prove a lot tougher to beat.
