Darren Clayton’s Albion Park Preview Posted on December 3, 2021December 3, 2021 | Posted by Darren Clayton RACE 1 SPEECH IS SILVER (1) loves to charge home off the speed and he has finally been able to draw an alley where he will not have to snag back before launching the raid. His sectionals are always superb, and he will be stalking them in readiness for the passing lane. NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3) was the eye-catching run last time out when facing all sorts of obstacles when being carted back before savaging the line. His early speed is a big plus. WILL THE WIZARD (5) was put on the engine last start and was responsible for the tempo that set up a sizzling mile. He can take another early shot here and if working to the front will make them chase. JERADAS DELIGHT (10) maps to be not far off the heat and with a devastating closing burst will be ready to launch the closing raid. SELECTIONS: 1-3-5-10 SUGGESTED BET: SPEECH IS SILVER (1) to win RACE 2 FRANCO HAMPTON (9) chased hard but could not reel them in when holding on for 3rd behind Key Largo. Going on his run 3 starts back when charging late to arrive, the conditions of this event look to replicate that win. KEY LARGO (6) is in super form and has been in the money consistently over the past two months. Just 2m from the front running Streitkid last time, that followed a passing lane win and he has early speed to fly the gate. HARPS (3) went all the way in a midweek outing 2 starts back and from this gate will be throwing out some early heat. BEAU CISHLOM (5) charged home to score on this track on Tuesday after only just recently returning to Queensland. SELECTIONS: 9-6-3-5 SUGGESTED BET: FRANCO HAMPTON (9) to win RACE 3 DEUS EX (10) lands his opportunity to show the form that saw him complete a hat-trick of victories at his first 3 starts in the State. Sitting parked over the 2138m last time did not return the intended result and redemption can be gained. SAM IS PERFECTION (5) claimed a smart win from a wide gate here 3 runs back. Tackling the FFA last time, this will be a welcome drop in grade. STOMPEM (1) could not finish them off from the front here midweek but lands the gat to take advantage of the availing options. OUR MAJOR DAY (4) should be able to settle handy to the speed from this alley and claimed a victory here recently that keeps him in the mix. SELECTIONS: 10-5-1-4 SUGGESTED BET: DEUS EX (10) to win RACE 4 LIFES BLACK (2) has never had much luck in landing an alley or always seems to strike a hot on in his previous attempts to claim one of these qualifiers. Close up behind Westar Sam last time, he can bring his Redcliffe form to The Creek. OHOKA CHOPPER (4) was just 4m from the flying Majorca last start after putting up a smart effort through the Peak of the Creek Series. He looms large. SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1) is effective when saved for a closing shot on his rivals and maps to get the trip for the snipers shot. YOUNG CONQUEROR (3) has the ability to grind it out if requires and last start did that when landing a fighting 3rd from a wider gate.SELECTIONS: 2-4-1-3 SUGGESTED BET: LIFES BLACK (2) to win RACE 5 WESTAR SAM (1) did it the tough way last start when claiming a narrow win after sitting parked. Working his way into some form the gate is a huge bonus to his chances. ONE LAST ROLL (2) tackled the 2138m last week which did not suit with a return to the mile for this contest much more favourable. RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10) is never too far from the action and at his last attempt was just behind the placings after trying to take them all the way. ALBION ARK (4) was angled to the pegs and chasing in the run last start after starting from gate 11. A his best when taking control, he can have an early shot from this alley.SELECTIONS: 1-2-10-4 SUGGESTED BET: WESTAR SAM (1) to win RACE 6 MAJORCA (7) is low flying at present, recording seven wins in her past nine starts where she has mixed strength with speed. Back to mares only grade for the first time since arriving in Queensland, her class can defeat the gate. A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (3) is the stablemate of Majorca and comes into this off a front-running victory last start. Better suited up near the speed, she has the gate to match the pattern. MAGGIE (6) will need to be at the top of her game from the tough gate, but her form dictates that she should be in the mix for the minors. MOLLYS SECRET (10) did not offer much in a pair of races where she looked well-suited and followed that with a victory last start where she looked no chance.SELECTIONS: 7-3-6-10 SUGGESTED BET: MAJORCA (7) to win RACE 7 ITALIAN LAD (5) looked to have found his race last start and punters reacted accordingly to send him out deep in the sauce. 3m from Jumping Jack Jimmy in that contest, his run was full of merit behind Governor Jujon two starts back. HERBS HERO (3) is in search of a threepeat of victories and has shown super versatility since joining the Butler stable. The gate gives him the chance to stay ahead of his main rival. ROLL ONE OVER (1) should appreciate the easy trip in behind the speed and after a close-up effort last week, finds suitable opposition to extend. COMMODORE JUJON (2) can settle close enough to the action from his gate to make a play for the prize. SELECTIONS: 5-3-1-2 ITALIAN LAD (5), HERBS HERO (3), ROLL ONE OVER (1), COMMODORE JUJON (2) SUGGESTED BET: ITALIAN LAD (5) to win RACE 8 JUMPING JACK JIMMY (3) was mighty brave in defeat 2 starts back when he was gone at the turn and horses were going past him. Digging in, he was only narrowly defeated and with this race looking an open event, can look to see it out. ARTFUL MAID (1) could not have been any more impressive in victory last start and lands the perfect alley once again. FOND MEMORIES (7) secured the run to suit here midweek when crossing over to the pegs, releasing and then zipping up the passing lane. The wide gate stings. CHASING THE WIND (8) will be hoping to settle leaders back in the run. If that scenario unfolds, his stocks rise exponentially. SELECTIONS: 3-1-7-8 SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-3-8 / 1-3-7-8 / 1-3-7-8-9 RACE 9 SIR FAHRENHEIT (5) is a trotter in the zone right now, scoring in smart fashion last week and a win will take him to 3 successive wins and 6 from his past 7. The only miss was when he was nabbed in the last strides. MAJESTIC SIMON (4) has been without a win for a while, but mobile conditions suit, and his gate speed is super. From this alley, he will come out blazing. CLAUDYS PRINCE (3) negated his 10m impost last start with victory and will be settling handy to the action here. JUSTABITNOISY (1) should be just in behind the action from this gate and be ready to search for openings. SELECTIONS: 5-4-3-1 SUGGESTED BET: SIR FAHRENHEIT (5) to win Market Market
