Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on October 21, 2021October 21, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.1 Emerald Kingdom Visiting Queenslander who turned in a terrific first up performance behind Golden Eagle aspirant Apache Chase at Eagle Farm a fortnight back. He worked to find the front, carved out some very quick sectionals and gave plenty in the straight albeit unable to hold that runner late. His second up record is very good and noted front running jock Tim Clark takes the mount. Suggest the pair will give a big sight! RACE 8 No.1 Hilal Back in winning form last start there’s every chance he can go right on with the job in tomorrow’s one million dollar Bondi Stakes. The additional 100m works in his favour and he just loves racing here at Randwick where he split Anamoe and Captivant in the Sires and was beaten only by Captivant in the Champagne. That form is the right form for a race such as this. RACE 10 No.9 Gravina Narrowly beaten here last start he brings the right form lines for this race. Big Parade was the horse he went down to narrowly in that race and we saw that one come out and win again in Group 3 company, the third horse Prime Candidate finished in the same spot in the same race behind Big Parade. Terrific track and distance stats he’ll just need some daylight from the inside draw, top jock Kerrin McEvoy will make sure that happens! Quaddie 3, 2, 1 1, 2 2, 12, 6, 7 9 Market Market
