Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on December 20, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 3 No.8 Pauper Moruya trained galloper who goes around in tomorrow’s edition of the Highway. Looked the goods winning his first two starts this prep on his home circuit first up following that up with a Nowra victory. Venturing to town last time out he messed up the start before charging to the line clocking clearly the better sectionals from a long way out. Happy to follow up tomorrow. Race 5 No.5 Smartedge Team Snowden galloper lining up for start number two this campaign in the open sprint. Another who wasn’t the best to leave the gates last start before making solid headway to the line placing third being beaten just under 2 lengths. Like the fact he stays at the 1400m trip second up as his fitness levels will have no doubt improved. The 6kg weight drop from that first up outing won’t do any harm either! Race 7 No.6 Asharani Probably the last time for me with this mare however it’s just a matter of time before things pan out her way and she gets away with another race. The negative is her racing pattern as she’s a backmarker who often has to pick her way through the field running into dead ends more often than not. Her first up run was exactly that having finished full of running once clear, with better luck tomorrow could be her day. Quaddie 2, 5, 8, 9 4, 5, 6 1, 2, 6, 9 1, 5, 9 Market Market
