RACE 7 No.5 Shooting For Gold

Not a great gate on paper however I do expect the run on horses to be featuring strongly in the finish by the time we get to this race. Although only a narrow winner at Eagle Farm last start he did it against a very soft tempo which shouldn’t be the case here. The step up in distance to 1300m is a plus, just looktailor made for him.

RACE 8 No.1 Ballistic Boy

Late scratching at the gates Eagle Farm last Saturday when got himself caught up. Thankfully no damage was done and he trialled successfully during the week suggesting that was a fluke occurrence. His form late last prep and so far this time in has been impeccable and although suited over further the step up in distance of 160m is still enough to see him get home.

RACE 9 No.3 Prometheus

Toowoomba trained galloper from the Sears yard who really hasn’t put a foot wrong since coming north. He ran quick time to win first up at the Gold Coast before stepping up plenty in grade going around in the Listed Lough Neagh when late closing 5th just over 3 lengths from the since won again Soxagon. 1600m would be ideal, still competitive at 1400m though.
