Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on December 28, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 3 No.3 Tumultuous Plenty of ticks for this stayer tomorrow who should be right at his peak fourth run back from a break. Liked the way he hit the line here last time out weaving his way home from the back of the field in a race not really run to suit. He drops in weight, strikes a suitable dry track and the step up to 2200m suits nicely. RACE 7 No.4 Victorem Ridden closer from a perfect alley here a fortnight back he looked the winner a long way from home and that’s the way things panned out as once off the leaders back in the straight he powered away to score a dominant win. He does rise in the weights tomorrow however again with a perfect gate he’ll score the right run and prove too strong once again. RACE 8 No.2 Coldstone In form galloper who is very likely to go around ‘overs’ tomorrow due to the wide draw which may not be all that bad at all! The speed map suggests he can push on (as usual) and find a spot just off the pace similar to where he parked last time when a dominant winner of the Brisbane Handicap over the same distance as tomorrow’s race.
