Scott’s Saturday Belmont Preview Posted on October 6, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BLACK DICE was solid on debut before spinning the wheels on a rain affected track at Northam. He can bounce back and give an eachway sight. MASSA MAC was an eye catcher from well off them first-up. RED BANANAS has woeful race form but trailed well. SOVEREIGN TRADE can improve sharply. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 11 – 5 Suggested Bet – BLACK DICE EACHWAY Race 2 PUSHIN SHAPES should get every favour from the inside gate and could well be the blowout. PINZU is in exceptional form and looks as though he will relish a mile. OUR FINEST MOMENT is again drawn awkwardly for a claiming apprentice but is as consistent as they come. COME ON BOARD leads and kicks at the top of the straight. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – PUSHIN SHAPES EACHWAY Race 3 JUST LIKE FIRE has an electric short sharp sprint. She goes back in the small field and will look to zap the leaders late. CHASING CHAOS makes his own luck out in front and from there will be hard to run down. TRAVELLIN’ should have no excuse from the gun alley. TYCOON TARGET next best. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – JUST LIKE FIRE WIN Race 4 SLICK TALKER has been building all preparation and from the inside draw can box seat in this field and he looks to be going better than it reads on paper. MASTER MAGICIAN was an impressive winner of the Toodyay Cup. This field is a little deeper but he can stay. ENTRECHAT is more than capable in this grade. MACAVITY is well travelled and his effort in the Kalgoorlie Cup was huge. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – SLICK TALKER EACHWAY Race 5 WHISPERING BROOK was bitterly disappointing first-up and looked fairly flat. Hoping she can find the front again and roll here at an eachway price. GREAT SHOT likely sits outside the lead and that’s where he does his best work. SILVERSTREAM may be looking for further at this stage of her career but at her best she can charge over the top. GIGANTE box seats. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – WHISPERING BROOK EACHWAY Race 6 SALORSCI and CAPIRINHA will be going onto bigger and better races. This is an exciting duel and I’ll side narrowly with SALORSCI care of the weight advantage. CAIPIRINHA finds the front and will be awfully hard to chase down. ZUCCHEROS goes back and runs on. I AM INCREDIBLE best of the rest. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – SALORSCI WIN Race 7 ROGANELLA looks a promising type on the rise. His first-up effort for a new stable was excellent and the step up in trip should be in his favour. ROCKON TOMMY is still very new and raw but looks to have an abundance of ability. PURE GEM will improve as the distances increase. BROWSING found a second wind late in the race on debut. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – ROGANELLA WIN Race 8 BLITZEM SOMEDAY has the Floyd form lines to his name which stand out as being superior to rivals. He will need clear running in the home straight but he’s going great guns. CAPTIVATED POINT could find the front and run along fresh. PINBALL WIZARD concedes weight to Blitzem Someday but the senior rider on is a big plus. GLIMMER GIRL went better than reads first-up. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet – BLITZEM SOMEDAY WIN SuperPick - Race 8 No. 2 BLITZEM SOMEDAY - Money Back Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,2,3,6 2,7 3,8 2,5,7,10 Bet Now
