Scott’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on December 20, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PRINCESS TARA should lob into a lovely position and there is a mountain of speed in this race. CHISANO looks a speed machine. SHACKLETON is a former 1.35 million dollar yearling purchase who has made his way to WA. MEGATALK has trailed well enough. Numbers: 11 – 10 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – PRINCESS TARA EACHWAY Race 2 YINDI looks to have fallen into a nice maiden assignment with the rail out. Should be able to wind up down the outside. SARISKA was a very good trailer a fair while ago. INFILTRATOR ran through the line under a hold at trials. DOUBLE THE PRO was run off his feet by a stronger horse last start but far from disgraced. Numbers: 6 – 13 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – YINDI WIN SuperPick - Race 2 No. 6 YINDI - Win Boost Race 3 HUMANITY has shown promise his entire career but is hard to catch. This looks a suitable assignment. RED ARMY looks to have a promising future ahead of him and this race is a nice stepping stone into Saturday grade. KIA ORA STAR is yet to miss the money if you forgive his flop off a quick back up. AFLICA’S GIRL was below her best first-up. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – HUMANITY EACHWAY Race 4 GREAT AGAIN did a super job to keep battling away last start in Saturday grade. This is miles easier. He looks the logical winner and highly doubt the $2.60 on offer fixed will last. SENSO broke through for a deserved win last week. DUSHA ZACHISTKI won well when the rail was last in this position. AMALIEMOO should run home. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – GREAT AGAIN WIN Race 5 CAPPO D’ORO bolted in first-up last preparation when tramping wide throughout. NO SAY IN IT was no match for Touch of Silver last start but this is easier and he should join the three wide train and get the right run here. RICH RED could find the front and run them along. LEITFADEN is yet to fire this preparation but this looks a more suitable trip. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – CAPPO D’ORO EACHWAY Race 6 HAYA was racing well and truly out of her grade in the Lee Steere. Up in trip and back into a class 1 she gets a great opportunity to record another win. JUST LIKE THAT was game in a strongly run race that has already produced a Saturday winner. FULL DISCLOSURE belted weak maiden rivals last week. MY NAUGHTY BLONDE next best. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – HAYA WIN Race 7 ROYAL STAR has had a far from ideal preparation but up to the staying trip and down on the minimum she looks perfectly placed to roll the favorite and stamp herself a Perth Cup contender. ZARANTZ hit the line extremely well in the Towton Cup. He is building quickly. TRAP FOR FOOLS faces his toughest test yet and with the rail out could be a sitting duck. DARK ALERT next. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – ROYAL STAR WIN Race 8 COUNT TOMOZ OFF is hard to catch but at his best he can rattle home over the top. PRESENTATIE goes a lot better fresh than her numerical form suggest. STOCKYARD GOSSIP was stopped in her tracks last start and prior to that was impressive. ORANGE STRUDEL is ultra consistent and will pinch one soon. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – COUNT TOMOZ OFF EACHWAY Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,2,4 1,2,8 1,2,10 Fld Bet Now
