Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 31, 2026March 31, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 BIG BOZZ (1) has the nice draw and thought his last effort wasn’t too bad considering a few things going wrong, think he’ll be better for the run and goes from the outhouse to the penthouse in terms of draws, think he’ll run a race. EN PARIANT SUR (4) will come out hard, if he can cross then he becomes a strong winning chance, this grade suits. KINSAABI (2) has always shown good ability, returns and is now under the care of Dylan Voak, expecting him to go well. GET YA BETS ON (3) has run well both times for Lang Inwood, he went rough on the final turn at Wagin on Friday, but a lot of horses did throughout the night at Wagin on the shifting wet surface, so I choose to forgive that and suggest he won’t be far away. STRIKING A DEAL (5) not the worst chance but might be one spot too far back. Tips: 1 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: BIG BOZZ (1) each way. Race 2 BEAUDIENE HUNTER (3) returns and looks a good thing on ability, his trial was solid and he is going to win plenty of races this time in, I think this will be one of them. ARTISTIC SCRIBE (1) better suited from the draw, should show speed to lead early and then get the cover and be a good place chance. IL BANDITO (2) has options but think they’ll duck to the rail and become a novelty chance. BEYOND BLING (6) will run on and was back to his better form with a win at Wagin and ADMIRAL DARCY (7) is talented but the draw hurts after breaking from the pole last week. Tips: 3 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: ARTISTIC SCRIBE (1) to place. Race 3 LEEROY ROX (3) had no luck last time out and could try and bounce on the lead here and run well, has shown good promise and ability in his lightly raced career and think we could see his best. DANGER (2) has the nice draw but isn’t a known quick beginner these days, should still settle close enough and be in the money. LUZIA (4) weakened after burning early last time out, has come back well and might make a play for the top. SAMMY SUFFARELL (8) has depth which will bring him into play in this race, he is one of few that could make his own luck. CHIEF COPY (7) didn’t get out last run, he’s come back soundly and must respect VINNIES STAR (10) who is first up for Stuart McDonald but he’s a big horse who seems a bit one paced, almost happy to watch him for the suave one first up to get a gauge. Tips: 3 8 4 2 Suggested Bet: LEEROY ROX (3) to win. Race 4 SOUTH SIDE STORY (8) was a solid effort last time out behind the classy Captain Stirling and he gets a front row draw today, he hasn’t had the best of luck since coming to WA and some of that is caused by his style of being quite one paced but expect Aiden De Campo to work forward and drive him like the best horse. TAKE A HIKE (1) returns and has good early speed, has options but could give them something to chase. GELSOMINO AMAL (4) and MISS UNEEK (5) had a good battle last time out and both face awkward draws here. BLAMEITONTHENIGHT (7) wasn’t a bad effort against a strong field Friday but isn’t a brilliant beginner so doesn’t map great for him. FRANCO MECCA (3) and MADDY ROCKS (11) novelty chances. Tips: 8 1 7 4 Suggested Bet: SOUTH SIDE STORY (8) to win. Race 5 LINE THE STARZZZ (8) is crying out to break through, normally regarded as a decent beginner she did things wrong at Pinjarra when a good 4th three starts ago, form since then has been good and this looks her grade. BEE BEE BEROC (5) is good enough to play a serious role here but needs a safe getaway, will give them something to catch if he leads. PATCHED (10) was much better last time out with the addition of the hood, he can carry on from that and although he is off 60m, Aiden De Campo flies him away and he’ll make up the ground quickly. CHUMANI (9) racing soundly and is a first four player. Tips: 8 5 10 9 Suggested Bet: LINE THE STARZZZ (8) to win. Race 6 IDEAL WHITBY (1) was rated to perfection in his victory last Tuesday where he led by a big space and had them all chasing, perfect drive from Aaron Suvaljko but now he tags in Joey to try and do better, eyes will be on the sibling rivalry here. BOBBY WATERHOUSE (5) got caught in the difficult position of chasing and wasn’t disgraced, think he can turn the tables here. AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (7) is very consistent and just needs to be close enough with GEE SMITH (8) who is ready to win one but faces the handicap to work with. BREWERY LANE (3) ran well on Friday and can fly away and get into a decent spot, do prefer him at the shorter distance. LUKES MISTAKE (6) is going just ok currently. Tips: 5 1 3 7 Suggested Bet: BOBBY WATERHOUSE (5) to win. Race 7 SALSAWITHSIERRA (2) looked like she was going to win by a lap when let loose on Saturday night, had the world perfect run but couldn’t put away Allizee, this looks more advantageous for her as she should lead and justify the likely short quote. STRIKE MASTER (5) will be better for the first up effort and small field suits, will run on strongly. UNDER THE ALTA (4) can race on speed and be a novelty chance, his best is good enough to get into the money but not sure where he is at currently and expecting both BY GEE BY JINGO (7) and ZUEDE (8) to be running on well. Tips: 2 5 7 8 Suggested Bet: SALSAWITHSIERRA/STRIKE MASTER to Exacta. Market Market
