Scott’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on February 13, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BLUE TRACER was far from disgraced first-up in a race which looks like being a fairly nice form reference. SMOKE ‘N’ MIRRORS should find the front for the first time this preparation. PERCEPTIVE MISS is the horse with upside in the field and looks like she’ll get the trip and beyond. AL CAPITANO next. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet –BLUE TRACER EACHWAY Race 2 KAKADU improved sharply at his second career outing in a much tougher race than this. YOURTHEONEFORME is a grammatical abomination but he looks to have above average ability. WAKAN TANKA trialed alright without blinkers and is drawn perfectly. EMERALD ROSE looked great in a 400m jump out. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – KAKADU EACHWAY Race 3 AMERICAN SOUL has been asked for little in both trials and is drawn to get a cosy run with the option of the cutaway. COMPS looked to be travelling very well in behind horses at her most recent. No blinkers or visors here though. OLIVE MARTINI has trialed well on all three occasions for her debut. IONYX next best. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – AMERICAN SOUL EACHWAY Race 4 TRANSGRESSOR has not drawn a barrier but usually digs deep when caught off the track. Consistent form in a moderate affair. ATACAMA SKY is the class runner but just unsure of where he is at. IMPERIAL VENUS is his own worst enemy. His backers will know their fate after 50m. LA BIONDA is better than the fresh effort. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – TRANSGRESSOR EACHWAY Race 5 ROGAN SCENT was an eye catcher fresh before being backed as if unbeatable when stepping straight up to 1800. Back to a mile suits and this is a moderate affair. SPIN ON COMMAND makes her own luck in front. HE’S DUNNA RUNNA was handy enough first-up. BROTHER PADDY is better suited in this grade. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – ROGAN SCENT WIN Race 6 SIGIL has been improving at each run back and finally draws a gate. KING OF CHAOS is going very well but is drawn extremely awkwardly. CHECKERS is consistent and always there abouts. ORANGE STRUDEL bolted in last start but the step up in trip could be a query. Numbers: 10 – 3 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – SIGIL EACHWAY Race 7 GET THE VIBE went well first-up and then simply got too far back on a heavily leader dominated day. Box seats from the gate and should give the favourite something to think about. SPECIAL ALERT will be a deserving favourite, just a question on how short she gets. HOBOKEN has the speed to sit leader’s back. ME ‘N’ TAZ jumps and runs. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – GET THE VIBE WIN Race 8 SUNBOSS has run three very nice races in his short career. This is a handy line-up and should produce a few winners. MOSHCARD resumes without a trial, ran into a few above average types in his first campaign. SALLY’S REALM trialed well and is drawn to get a soft run. PATROCITY was bolting in his trial. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – SUNBOSS WIN Race 9 CUANZO has been in tougher races for the last three years and blinkers go back on. Only query is whether he has forgotten how to win. SNOW BLOSSOM has been belting moderate opposition in Bunbury. Ascot is a fair bit different to Bunbury but she is flying. STABLE SECRET could run them ragged if he was wound up. VALDERI VALDERA was far from disgraced in a Saturday race after dominating fresh. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – CUANZO EACHWAY SuperPick - Race 9 No. 2 CUANZO - Money Back Quaddie (Races 6 – 9) 1,3,5,6,9,10 7,8 1,2,3,4,5,6,8 1,2,7,8 Bet Now
