RACE 1

Looks to be two key chances. CARNEVALE debuted as favourite in a strong 2YO race at Flemington and was ok, couldn’t sprint with the placegetters. Three jumpouts to return winning the latest at Werribee defeating the stablemate since run well. CRANK did everything right showing a will to win on debut at Terang, this is a deeper race but is open to further improvement. OBAMULATE deserves respect, last start winner at Pakenham showing fight. MOMEMENTUM has jumped out ok to debut for the Brisbourne stable.

RACE 2

SWIFT FORCE was outstanding winning her Victorian debut, leading and holding a good gallop, she was much too good beating a moderate bunch. Finds a similar race and drawn the inside, provided that’s no disadvantage she’s the obvious winner of the race. SEA POEM may challenge for a forward position from the low draw with Craig Williams up, given an easy time at the jumpouts, betting best guide. LUNA CAT and SOUTHERN CRESCENT bounce out of Warrnambool runs, the latter winning the former went very close, not hopeless at the odds.

RACE 3

Tricky race. They won’t go quick, UNDISPUTABLE is the likely leader, CELTICS & BRAVE DESIGN will go forward and WONBOYN should be handy from a low draw. CLEVER TREVOR was the subject of a betting plunge at Bendigo and never looked like getting beat, he’s a promising type on the up and could go back-to-back. CINTURATO was impressive at Warrnambool over the carnival, he had wet conditions to suit, unlikely to receive again here. YES YOSHI is still a work in progress, offered little at his first attempt at straight racing, could improve around a bend.

RACE 4

A DIVA maps for sole control of the is race, she travels but doesn’t find a whole lot, FIRST CHORUS is poised to strike from outside lead and has come back in good form this time in, handles all tracks, the one niggle is the 59kg. Even more so for MADIYYA who is only neat in size and giving position in running away to FIRST CHORUS. ENNA’S DREAM has a big finish, if they run along should be charging down the middle late.

RACE 5

EL ROCKO leads up a smallish field and should take running down particularly if the track stays in the Soft 7 range. VERDAD will take a trail, he’s hard and fit and gets a handy claim from Logan Bates to be finishing best. SEE THAT STORM is an interesting import making his Australian debut, only neat in size, he did win his most recent jumpout going to the front but unlikley to get near it in this field, watch the betting in a first-up a stable. JIMMYTHEBEAR will be winding up late.

RACE 6

Loved the win of the heavily-backed SIMURGH a little one-paced at the mile, he wound up strong here late and will eat up the rise to 2000m second-up. OCEANA DREAM was a surprise winner fresh and followed it up with another good effort second-up, nice draw, should figure. MAKDANE gets a beautiful draw following the speed across and landing in behind. SKIPPERS CANYON settled closer to the speed last start and wasn’t able to finish off, ridden quieter this time?

RACE 7

The unbeaten BRED ÉM ALL switches states for an astute stable and maps well to chase a fast speed with most of it drawn outside of him. HIGH ON THE HILL has a big finish and this race sets up nicely for him coming from the back, claimer aboard, sure to be in the finish. TRES MAGNIFIQUE went forward and led and fell in at the Heath, understandably freshened since. CABRIOLE has been beating up fields at the lower level, the map is tricky and may have to do it tough.

RACE 8

HEARCOMESTHESTAR should appreciate a good speed up front, she’s run two good races on good tracks, she arguably goes better on soft and any rain forecast gives her a winning chance. WATCHME WIN is another looking to settle in behind and has a good finish. BUSTLING presented to win and couldn’t do so fresh, he will no doubt improve on the run with this stable and has to overcome a wide draw. GIN A TONIC has been in work a long time and plenty of jumpouts and trials, good draw.

RACE 9

Trap race and brutal finish, going wide in the quaddie. Speed drawn out, should be genuine. Sydney galloper SO YOU PENCE has been freshened and is the query runner, wide draw no negative late in the day with recent form at the track. ELOYOU goes super second-up rising in distance and any softening of the track conditions is a positive. STOLI BOLLI has a wicked finish but the inner draw can be a negative. ROYAL INSIGNIA was poor fresh, can lift and needs to.
