Race 1

SOHO THE REAL DEAL (3) was a very impressive debut in the state, 4 wide early and then 3 wide the trip and although it was a short course race, it was a strong performance to be able to win, has good early speed and can bounce on the lead early and be hard to beat. JAXON MORGAN (1) holds the key early with his speed, could be an improver from the draw. MAJOR MIKI WHITBY (9) must overcome a wide draw but was placed in a Narrogin Cup behind Otis and Gee Heza Sport which is a good form line for this, respect even from the draw. ROX THE WORLD (12) is racing in a consistent manner but needs a touch of luck from the draw. TRUE GRIT (7), SUGAR SHAKE (8) and LEAVEAMESSAGE (10) all novelty chances.

Race 2

BOY BLUE (8) looks a talented type who was a big winner on return, he has brilliant high speed and that allows him to overcome a lot of maps and bad draws in his races, expect nothing different here, hard to hold out. ATLANTIC GEM (2) has the speed to lead and is second up, she is capable but can mix her form so therefore will be an interesting test to see where she is at. COLD HARD CASH (1) is a luckless horse who gets the good draw and will be close enough to earn. BLAZE AWAY (5) will roll the arm and get forward, nice effort on Monday but may have to do the lions share in this. BURGHLEY SHARD (10), SUN PUBLISHER (11) and SAMMY SUFFARELL (12) all novelty chances with the latter a winning chance at odds, he’s a nice type.

Tips: 8 1 2 12

Suggested Bet: COLD HARD CASH (1) to place.

Race 3

OUR CRUNCH TIME (3) returns and has the draw advantage over his main rival and looks likely to roll to the top and be hard to run down, took on some nice types last time in and performed well. LAST HARD COPY (12) is highly talented and can overcome the draw, had a tough run two starts ago and was brave last time out, will have to his fair share of work again here. HUGOTASTIC (8) is a hard horse to line up, his high speed is his asset and therefore makes the draw difficult as the map may not suit him the best, will be running on. SWEET COCO (9) can run into the top 4 with her high speed even from a wide draw along with novelty chances to LOUIE LEBEAU (6), KOOJAN (10) and KURIOUS BOY (11).

Suggested Bet: OUR CRUNCH TIME (3) to win.

Race 4

MUNROES MATE (8) reads up well for this and would’ve had some good track work battles to tighten him up for this debut assignment, looks the one for me. HALE SAINT LOUIE (4) has the speed to charge across and potentially lead and would give a sight if he led. DOUBLE PARKED (6) looks a nice type and may have to do the work again, must be respected. NORTHVIEW DANCE (1) has run better races recently, slightly disappointing on Monday but can bounce back as a novelty chance in this by virtue of the draw with other novelty chances to HILLVIEW BONDI (7), HIGH PRICE (10) and BETTOR ARCADE (12).

Tips: 8 4 6 10

Suggested Bet: MUNROES MATE (8) to win.

Race 5

RUNKLE CRUNCH (5) will be coming out hard to try and hold the advantage in this but has run some big races this time in and think he is the one to beat here, looks to have strings to his bow and can get the job done. MAD MONDAY (7) had things go against him last time out but can bounce back, expecting him to try and fire out again but could get awkward if he cannot cross. IM LIGHTNING BANNER (2) has good early speed and racing well, can put himself right into the firing line with that early speed. LINCOLN LOU (6) needs some luck, has some good early speed but isn’t used off the arm that often, did so last start and still finished it off, might push them towards going forward again. YOURE SO FINE (8) has come back well but has some traffic issues and looks to have to come from the rear again. SWEET PINS (10) racing well but needs luck, appears a novelty chance with WHOS THE DAD (1) and ALTA TRIBUTE (12).

Tips: 5 2 7 8

Suggested Bet: RUNKLE CRUNCH (5) to win.

Race 6

AMERICAN EYES (8) is a highly talented mare who will face a decent task here but looks to have the depth to overcome the draw, good test for her but she keeps elevating and should run well. LOCH TAY (1) has options from the draw but has the early speed to lead early and will be dangerous late. LUCKY COPY (3) steps up in grade but is working through the grades nicely, could find her way to the top and will be hard to run down. DELULU (9) needs a tempo to suit but is capable with WAVE REBELLION (6) who has won 2 of her last 3 and won in good times previously, could fly under the radar with OFFICIAL ROCK (12) who is racing well too. GIRL OF BRIGHTNESS (4) needs luck from the draw but is in good form, good test for her.

Tips: 8 3 1 6

Suggested Bet: AMERICAN EYES (8) to win.

Race 7

STORMY VISTA (8) won few admirers last run, looked lethargic at certain parts and in a race they only came home in 31.1, I’m willing to give another chance in the stand but have my reservations. LUVBITE (10) is racing well and just needs to step better than he normally does, that’s his biggest concern coming in. ROCK ME OVER (7) is a chance at odds, just needs a touch of luck but has been proven in this grade before. ARTFUL MAJOR (9) has come back well with two wins but isn’t one that I’m too enthused on following into metro company, happy to see him do it firstly. BLUTO (11) will be running home well and CHIVALRY (13) is capable but 50m handicap is never an easy task. JACKIE DANIELS (2) and MINOR CATASTROPHE (6) novelty hopes with CALL TO ARMS (4) who is racing well but do prefer him at a shorter trip. TWOBOB CRACKER (5) could win the race if he gained a start, keep him safe if that transpires.

Tips: 7 10 8 11

Suggested Bet: ROCK ME OVER (7) each way.

Race 8

UNDER THE ALTA (12) could follow through nicely here and lob handy to them, was a nice effort last run and is racing with zest since entering the new stable, expecting him to be on speed and carry that on again. AMBITSIYA (2) is talented but promises a lot and hasn’t delivered nearly enough, did plenty of work last start and was three wide the trip, good effort but needs to carry that on and early speed can be hit and miss. MISTER KOPA (3) has good early speed but do prefer him at shorter. MACHANE SAID (1) isn’t one that can be used early but wouldn’t want to be shuffled too far back. SUGAR STREET (5) will look dangerous but rarely wins and TAKE A HIKE (8) has a tough draw, plenty of horses with convictions in this.

Tips: 12 2 5 8

Suggested Bet: UNDER THE ALTA (12) each way.

Race 9

PENNY BLACK (9) is the class on return, tough draw over the mile but she had a couple of hard runs before her failure in the Empress Stakes, coming in fresh should see her spike on the comeback. BEETASTIC (1) creates a lot of interest as Emily Suvaljko would’ve had the pick of the drives and has elected to drive this daughter of Bettors Delight, it’s a betting stable so watch for any market moves. HUNGER STRIKE (3) is a winning chance if she can get across to the lead, good front runner. HEAVENLY GIPSY (8) needs luck from the wide gate but is ready to win. Novelty chances to STARLIGHT DREAM (4) as always.

Tips: 9 3 1 8

Suggested Bet: PENNY BLACK (9) to win.

Race 10

CHUGACH (3) should spear across to the top and look the one to beat in this, thought he was flying and was slightly disappointed that he was run down from the leading position last Friday, dropping back to the mile looks suited to him and he will give a bold sight. THE FINAL OFFER (1) has elevated in recent runs and will get a good run here, looks to be leaders back and try and go back-to-back. KATAMA (4) has won her last two and this will be a more challenging test as she won’t get to lead this. WAVES OF FORTUNE (2) is a novelty chance as he shouldn’t be shuffled too far back. DROP THE ACE (10) will punch the rail and can be placed.
