Michael Heaton’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 7, 2026April 7, 2026 | Posted by Michael Heaton RACE 1 HILLSIDE AVENUE trialled up well alongside Rok’n’rom (first-up Saturday winner), Wolf Whistle Zel (previous Saturday winner) and Clear Approval (first-up Saturday second) then looked the winner all bar the post first up when being on the wrong side of a tight photo finish. She should bounce straight to the lead again and with any natural improvement be very hard to beat. AXOPAR comes out of the same race when doing her best work late into third and looks the danger. ALL THE RAGE debuted in the same race and raced quite keenly but was still able to reel off the fastest last 400m at $71. OFF THE RICHER debuts and showed versatility in his 2 trial appearances. Numbers: 5-6-3-4 Suggested Bet – HILLSIDE AVENUE WIN RACE 2 ROYAL TROOPER looks just about ready to produce his best and is the first of a strong book of rides for Holly Nottle. He got back in a slowly-run race and on an on-speed day 2 starts ago then ran a solid fifth in a fast-run C3 at Belmont last time out where there was a big margin spread and the horses who beat him home (Fey King/Cheyne Bay/Tahni Talk/Eternal Romance) would be short-priced favourites in this field. AHH CHOXU comes out of the same race when copping interference on straightening and being beaten 2L by Royal Trooper and she broke maiden status at her previous outing. MR BLING has done his best work late at his last couple and looks suited by the step to 2000m and smaller field. MACHO ARQUERO is a 25-start maiden but has been going well enough to play a part. Numbers: 2-3-8-5 Suggested Bet – ROYAL TROOPER WIN RACE 3 BATCITY went around at $101 on debut but was enormous when off the track throughout and storming home in the fastest last 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m splits to finish fourth to subsequent Saturday winner Wheely. The step to 1600m and much more favourable draw here looks ideal. MR FRODO was a big run last week when only getting clear at the 250m mark and rocketing to the line to finish second. He now backs up off 7 days and steps to a mile which are both ticks. JAVELIN STRIKE has been solid at his last 2 starts and now drops from a C1 back into a maiden. RARE HONOR has had plenty of chances but looks better suited dropping back to 1600m. Numbers: 7-2-5-1 Suggested Bet – BATCITY WIN RACE 4 QUOKKA ROCKA was good first up when getting tightened for room at the 200m mark and bullocking his way through to run a fast-finishing third. If he lands one-out and one-back from his good draw he’ll be in a commanding position and looks the horse to beat. PLAYA DEL SOL was scratched last week but she beat home subsequent winner Spellborn at her last start and has the speed to roll forward from her awkward draw. LAND OF NOD debuts and might need further but liked the way he finished off late in his recent trials. TRAILER TRUCK was stiff first up at Albany when getting held up at a crucial stage. Numbers: 3-9-6-4 Suggested Bet – QUOKKA ROCKA WIN RACE 5 KANAS MTOTO was a super run first up, no trial for new trainer Summer Dickson off a 10-month layoff. He drew wide, got back and stormed home in eye-catching fashion to be beaten less than a length to Joyoh and Free To Fly and the step to 1200m from a softer draw here look suitable. Holly Nottle and Summer Dickson have been in red-hot form when they team up. RIGATONI was unlucky first up when getting held up on straightening but should be able to roll forward to either lead or breeze this time. SPECIAL COUNSEL travelled much stronger with the addition of blinkers on in his second trial and has shades on first up. SPECIFIC is a Peters Investments-bred filly on debut for Bruce Kay and have liked the look of her in her recent trials. She can land in a lovely spot in running and run well at a price. Numbers: 4-9-6-12 Suggested Bet – KANAS MTOTO WIN RACE 6 KING BREW was big on debut, bumped into the progressive Shilling Lane second up then bolted in with a leg in the air last start. He’s a very lightly-raced 6YO who appears to have plenty of natural ability and he should be able to stroll across from his awkward draw to land on-speed without much trouble and prove hard to hold out again. SETAGAYA hasn’t been suited by either slow tempos or wide runs lately but has still been hitting the line quite well. TORONADO ROCKET an improver with a run under his belt and dropping back into a C1. GALILEA is a long-time C1 mare but she trialled up well enough ahead of her return. Numbers: 2-7-3-4 Suggested Bet – KING BREW WIN RACE 7 JUST LEROY did a power of work in a 66+ last start when working to the top and running the first 1200m 10L above average. He’s now back in grade, back in distance and backs up off 7 days whilst returning to the track where he’s won 2 of 3. His neck second to subsequent 66+ winner Yougivemechills in a hot winner-producing Saturday Graduation 3 starts back reads up well for this. THINK PINK DAZE has drawn awkwardly but is a filly with some upside and Lucy Fiore and Team Williams have been combining for a stack of winners. MAXWHOOSHTAPIN is a nice type resuming and was a strong fresh winner last campaign before racing in much higher grade at his last 5 starts. HOUSEWIFE will get back and launch late. Numbers: 4-8-1-2 Suggested Bet – JUST LEROY WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,4,6,9 4,6,9,12 2,3,7 1,2,3,4,8 240 combinations Market Market
