Shayne Williams’ Thursday Greyhound Best Bets

CANNINGTON

Race 4 No. 2 Glasgow Boy

Will appreciate the big grade drop in this affair, strung three on the bounce late September early October, but paid the price for them wins getting up to FFA company, much better suited back to a country grade 4/5 assessed race. Drawn in low and can be in the firing line early with a safe exit from the traps.

Tips: 2-1-4-6

Race 6 No. 1 All About Jake

We haven’t seen him at the races for 3 months, and he’s got form over longer trips, but the kennel is on fire at present and he gets the red where he’s a winner 2/4 career starts from the 1 box. Not the strongest of races and will watch the markets closely to see if there’s any support. But nice and fresh can run a big race.

Tips: 1-4-2-3

Race 7 No. 1 Elite General

The speedsters set to do battle in the FFA short course event on the night. And I thought the red got his chance courtesy of the draw, can boot up and hold the lead off the Cherry, and from there he will take a power of beating. When these dogs clash they all have similar ability, it’s generally the box draw that decides the result. Hard to beat the general.
