Scott Embry’s Saturday Collie Preview Posted on October 23, 2025October 23, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 WEAPONS HOT should be a great Collie horse. He led and won at Moora two back and then was only beaten 2L b De Grandhomme in a C2 at Geraldton on the grass last start. Off to the glorious white sand and should be sent on a jump and run mission by Jefferson Tsang. SOLAR SYSTEM had his first start for Darryn Pateman and it was an improvement on what he had produced in his preview who when completely unsighted. RODNEY OH RODNEY won at Pingrup and at Dongara before heading up to Broome and didn’t handle the style of racing up there. THE CHIEF JUSTICE has shades added and can come across to park up close handy. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – WEAPONS HOT WIN RACE 2 GREY REVOLUTION finished a narrow second down the 1000m straight one day at Pinjarra back in March and think that this 1100m maiden at Collie should be suiting her. She can march across from a wide alley to park up over the speed and from there she stays out of trouble. SHORT STRAW went to Toodyay and led them up before being gobbled up by Quick As Silver and Now Showing in the concluding stages. They look the speed pair and the two winning hopes. ARCHENEMY was much better in the most recent Lark Hill trial after showing zero in his initial prep. Maybe blinkers are the difference. ORKNEY LAD has a set of visors added and finds this easier than Bunbury. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – GREY REVOLUTION WIN RACE 3 TEABISCUIT looks like he’ll be too quick for them. Hed and won a Narrogin 1190 by 1.75, led and won a Kalgoorlie 1200 by 1.75, led and won a Moora 1190 by 5.1. When he is able to lead he’s a different horse and all things considered he actually did a super job to finish within 3.5L of Just Saint James last weekend at Ascot. Having his 18th run of the campaign but provided he jumps it’s a great race for him. LAND OF FIRE doesn’t mind these meetings. Best runs have been places like Marble Bar, Toodyay. He won’t be far off. STAR POWER can park up close handy and is a good use of the Rocky Cheung claim. GET OUT MICK loved Magnet and then bombed the start at Moora. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – TEABISCUIT WIN RACE 4 GETS THE GIRLS sat close handy four starts ago and finished 2L off Spank Appeal in second and then was only 1.4L off dead heat winners Kings Drama and Mr Kissinger. Senior rider goes on, heads off to Collie and finds the most winnable race of his career to date. PROVE ME WRONG has blinkers reattached and being drawn out wide might just be a blessing for Elisha Whittington who can circle the field. ILL TELL AL was a big improver at Moora behind Jimmy Seven but a big query on that as a form race. WHAT SHOUT is hoping start 50 is her lucky day! Numbers: 2 – 5 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – GETS THE GIRLS WIN RACE 5 MORE THAN ENUFF is on the 7 day back-up coming out of a 60+ Graduation at Ascot when parking wide throughout and being beaten under half a length to Wembanyama and I’m Nipote. SJ Miller takes one horse to Collie and Jess Gray takes the ride. He’s a winner out to 1760m in Kal (twice) and see no reason why he won’t stay. DIVINE MERCY won the Moora Cup by 11.4L and then wasn’t disgraced behind Old Mate Henry in a 60+ 1800 a week later. He’s a big threat, even under the weight. HAFEY won the Junction Cup and then two starts later won a 54+ at Bunbury on the grass. Going super. LUTZ won the Derby Cup and has placed in the Junction Cup, Carnarvon Cup and Moora Cups. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – MORE THAN ENUFF WIN RACE 6 ROYALZEL has enjoyed a wonderful time of it throughout WA racing on the dirt tracks. He won three races at Port Hedland and then last start won a 56+ 1500 at Moora. This is a horse who back in 2023 was going around in Group and Listed Races in NSW and now as a 7 year old is back in winning form on the dirt. Looks another great chance for him. SCHNOOTS bounced back to form at Mt Magnet after a 28 day freshen and now 35 days later attacks Collie. If they allow her to lead soft, she’ll be hard to run down. DISCO KICKS was defeated narrowly at Toodyay and won well on the Fibre Sand at Bunbury (if that means anything for the sand at Collie?) SOARING SOLO is a query at 1400? Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – ROYALZEL WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1 2,5 1,2,3,4,6,7 1,2,4 Market Market
