Oli Cownie’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on August 12, 2024August 12, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch Race 1 SEASIDE MAGIC (3) made strong ground last start in the heat of the pearl classic behind Sebastian James. Gate speed is somewhat of an unknown but Aiden gets them off the gate well usually. DELULU (5) one race start for one win and it’s the bond horse Deni Roberts has chosen to drive which is usually a good lead. CRUNCHEE (6) was a good third to Captainshavtime after sitting in the breeze. BEATITLIKEBECA (1) was held up out the back last start after drawing poorly in a bear of the pearl. Once clear he appeared to hit the line well and from the good draw here think he’s one that could figure. Tips: 3 5 6 1 Suggested Bet: SEASIDE MAGIC (3) to win. Race 2 HOLD THAT GOLD (2) stepped quickly last start and dominated from there scoring a pretty easy win. Looks very well handicapped again here off the front and if he steps to the front he should just win again. STAY FOCUSED (3) has been racing in good form of late. Gets in reasonably under the conditions of the race. NICKYS SON (1) was crossed early last start in the stand and just didn’t seem to travel as well as he can finishing a pretty distant third in the end. ALDEBARAN SUNDOWN (4) made an error after leading two back and it was all over after that. His best is good enough. Tips: 2 3 1 4 Suggested Bet: HOLD THAT GOLD (2) to win. Race 3 VINNIES STAR (1) was able to lead and hold off Pasquale last start at Pinjarra. Ran a slick last half there and gets his chance to do similar again from the draw. IM LIGHTNING BANNER (8) bolted up at Northam when sitting 1-1 off the back of a strong speed. That solid speed and good run may have contributed to the big margin but he appears a smart horse. SOHO SKYFALL (6) has come back well this campaign. Raced without much luck at all last start. JIMMY ROCKS (4) has come on well this time in and seems to be racing consistently. Draws to get a good run. Tips: 1 8 6 4 Suggested Bet: VINNIES STAR (1) to win. Race 4 YANKIE KEV (5) is racing much better than his numerical form suggests. He can race up on speed and should be in the money. HENRY MAQUIRE (8) has good gate speed, despite the wide draw he can be competitive in this field. BUNDEGI BLUE (9) is rarely far away and racing in good form. DREAM CONTROL (4) has run well in lightning laps before and this looks a suitable draw. Tips: 5 8 9 4 Suggested Bet: YANKIE KEV (5) each way. Race 5 GULLY GUM (6) now looks the likely leader in the race and from there hard to see him beaten the way he’s been racing. WORLDS ABOVE (1) was a great winner last time out flashing home off a soft run to score. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (9) has been luckless in recent starts. Wouldnt surprise to see him figure in this race at odds. THE BEAUDSTER (5) doesn’t have much gate speed which could make things tricky for him here. Tips: 6 1 9 5 Suggested Bet: GULLY GUM (6) to win. Race 6 TORPEDO ROCK (4) has gate speed and draws really well down low here I think. Emergencies come out which is a big help as Hotfoot It does have pretty good gate speed and has lead lightning laps before. Contested a heat of the Higgins two back and wasn’t beaten far by the eventual winner Sorridere. HEAVENLY WAGE (7) is a lightning lap specialist. Looks another decent draw, he can figure. LOMBO MITCHINSON (8) one of the class runners in the field. Draw makes things tough for him. ALTA QUEEN (10) is rarely far away. Can figure with the right run. Tips: 4 7 8 10 Suggested Bet: TORPEDO ROCK (4) to win. Race 7 WORLD SECRET (5) has been racing well ran into second last start from a long way back behind Miss Hepburn. This race may be an opportunity for her to get forward. CHAMPAGNE EVERYONE (7) was a great effort last start ran on strongly into second behind Sweet Vivienne.ZARA TINDALL (9) lead first up from a spell last start got things on her terms and after giving a decent kick on the turn tired badly to run a distant third. She may be better suited sat up for one run at them. ROCKNROLL SLOY (1) I think was pretty disappointing first up in WA tiring late into 5th. Should be fitter and draws a great gate. Tips: 5 9 7 1 Suggested Bet: WORLD SECRET (5) to win. Race 8 HEZ SPECIAL (1) first start last time out and was able to run second there after sitting in the breeze. Not really sure how much gate speed he has but if he can lead he’ll prove hard to beat. SPINNER OF YARNS (3) is racing well at the moment. Was a good third behind Bundegi Blue two back before a third behind Rock the Bank. EBEE AVIATOR (8) things just didn’t work out for her last start did work early to get across then was held up late nowhere to go. SEA FURY (10) may well come out and surprise here running well but he trialled only fairly and just looked to have moderate ability in NZ on some of the lesser tracks. Tips: 1 3 8 10 Suggested Bet: HEZ SPECIAL (1) to win. Market Market
