Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 2, 2024July 2, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MOHEGAN RULER has won both of his barrier trials impressively. The most recent he was simply a level above rivals when unleashing powerfully at the 200 under very little riding to come away and win by 2L. Looks above average. THE TOP BAR trialled on the same day behind Want A Winner (debut victor) and went considerably quicker. Adam Durrant’s yard is producing plenty of winners again and he must be respected. DAYTONA PETE is a full brother to Red Can Man and covered the ground nicely in his 1000m trial win. DECISION MAKER got within a head of Supido Express on debut who ran really well on Saturday. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – MOHEGAN RULER WIN RACE 2 MAGNACHINE should get every chance here from the ideal draw. She was plain first-up (finished 4L behind En Plein Air) but improved sharply second-up out to 1200m when finishing off hard behind Amarlie Miss. Senior rider back on in a very thin race. DIRTY CHAI was super impressive at trials. She was a debut winner 566 days ago but really hasn’t quite lived up to expectations since, however, this trial was far better than anything she’s produced over the last 18 months. Hopefully this is her preparation? EN PLEIN AIR loses William Pike which is always a concern but she’s got talent. DIAMOND LIGHT has shades on and can roll forward. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – MAGNACHINE WIN RACE 3 HOT LIKE CHILLI got to the line well over 1400m behind Mr Talentino and gave the impression that an extra 400 would suit. She’s got a barrier to work with, she’s got an in form Lucy Fiore aboard and hails from the winner producing Graeme Ballantyne yard. This race doesn’t have any stars in it and she looks a filly who could play a part at odds. LE GRAND JEU has had a lot of opportunities but comes through a maiden behind Abissi last Thursday which was run 8L faster than average. Puts him in the mix. KILLARNIE has been a beaten favourite at 6 of his 10 career outings and just can’t find the right race. BLOW BACK leads and controls. Numbers: 14 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – HOT LIKE CHILLI EACHWAY RACE 4 I DREAMED A DREAM and DREAMTIME JEAN both come through the Belmont Guineas and that has to be the strongest form reference in this race. Going with I DREAMED A DREAM who was only 3.5L off Luvnwar/Petrouchka and prior to that in a 60+ Graduation against the older horses finished 1L off Luvnwar in a race that has produced both Californication, Wonder Weapon and Dad’s Bigheaded for impressive victories respectively. DREAMTIME JEAN can roll to the front and Chanel Cooper was aboard in his 3L Kalgoorlie C2 win. MIRO put the writing on the wall at his return. CLASSIC IMPACT brings intrigue as a 2 year old. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 3 – 12 Suggested Bet – I DREAMED A DREAM WIN RACE 5 OUTFIELD has returned in excellent order. He won by 4.3L first-up (second horse a winner at his next outing) and then went straight to a 66+ when finishing fourth behind Celebrity Prince and subsequent Saturday winners Dance Boss and Playhouse Patron. He’s jump and run, he’s tough and he’s also 1400m back to 1200m. Like this race for him. FLEUR DELACOUR is flying. She beat Pearly Nugget two back and was eye catching behind Rockin’ Rupert (who has won again since). ESTIMATOR can park behind the speed and enjoy a great run. HE’S GOLD comes back in grade for the first time in over 12 months. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – OUTFIELD WIN RACE 6 UUKHAI has to take that awkward step that very few can from a maiden into a C1 with more weight. Rises 3kg from his maiden victory but really does look to have found a weak race on paper. He’s drawn awkwardly in barrier 9 of 10 but Pinjarra Scarpside suits those horses with momentum so even if he’s caught three deep it’s not the worst spot to be. Improving type. LOT HO has his first run for Ike Racing and with only 51.5kg on his back expect that he can be ridden aggressively from the draw and should be right there for a long way. HE’S ARCHIE is only 1 from 28 and having his 15th run of the preparation but he continues to go well. RED FLORA is going better than it looks. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – UUKHAI WIN RACE 7 SNIP’S ROCK has had two runs at Pinjarra Scarpside and they’ve been the best two runs of her career. From what we’ve seen so far Scarpside is a bit of a horses for courses type track and she’s proven here. Goes well fresh (last win was off 42 days), loves the circuit and see no reason why she won’t run out a strong 1800. Can win. LOVA SESSION has now run 8 second placings and looked the winner on more than one occasion. She’s the one to beat, but she’s repeatedly shown she’s beatable. BAMBUN BOY was enormous last start three deep the trip over 2200. BAY STREET sneaks back into a C3 and has been attacking the line since arriving in WA. Numbers: 11 – 3 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – SNIP’S ROCK EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,3,6 2,3,8 1,2,3,6,7,8,10 2,3,11,12 Market Market
