The Scout: Women’s World Cup Matchday 9 Posted on July 27, 2023July 27, 2023 | Posted by The Scout Group G – Argentina v South Africa It’s ten World Cup games without a win now for Argentina following the late defeat to Italy but this game represents a good chance for them to end that run. Miriam Mayorga, Eliana Stabile, Florencia Bonsegundo and Mariana Larroquette all picked up yellow cards and a second would mean suspension. They have no injury concerns and could name the same starting team. South Africa showed good signs in the 2-1 loss to Sweden so will be no pushovers. Hildah Magaia scored their goal before leaving the game with an injury. However, she is expected to play on Friday. Like their opponents, South Africa will see this as an opportunity to pick up at least a point. Draw @ $3* Group D – England v Denmark England stumbled to a 1-0 win over Haiti in their opener so will be looking for a more convincing showing here. Millie Bright got through that contest unscathed having returned from injury, while there have been calls for Lauren James to be introduced into the starting eleven. Denmark needs a last-minute winner to see off China and were far from convincing, registering just two shots on target. Amalie Vangsgaard did her chances of a start no harm by scoring that solitary goal having come off the bench. Pernille Harder is the big-name player they will look to for inspiration. England to win @ $1.50* Group B – China PR v Haiti As firm favourites heading into the game, China will be eager to bounce back from the loss to Denmark as they look to progress to the knockouts for a sixth successive time. Minimal changes are expected, though Wang Shuang played 45 minutes last time out and is viable option in the final third. Haiti earned themselves plenty of respect with a valiant showing against England, although Jennyfer Limage has been lost to the tournament with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Her spot in defence is likely to be taken by Ruthny Mathurin. Their aim will be to score a first World Cup goal, and hope that leads to at least a point. China to win @ $1.65* Multi Argentina v South Africa – Goals in both halves YES England – WIN China – WIN @ $ 5.07* *Odds correct as at 7am, 28th July 2023. Market Market
