Le Zebra may lead again and gets a tongue tie on. Like the way VICTORY COMMAND closed off in that race. GATES should appreciate 1400m and firmer ground but plenty to learn about these lightly race two year olds. Selections: 10,1,5,6 Suggested Bet: Lady in Pink each way Race 2 GREY RIVER drops in grade third up and her run over 1400m during the spring carnival reads well. LADY JONES has found winning form and had excuses in the same race as Grey River during the spring. FREE WILLED has upside and was almost six weeks between runs leading into her last start victory. SHE’S PRETTY RICH might be looking for 1400m now and stuck on well behind Free Willed last start. Selections: 2,5,6,11 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples around 2,5,6 & 11 Race 3 SIGH is unbeaten first up, has run well down the straight and has been jumping out in typically good style. OUR HEIDI is fit, in form and will make her own luck. MRS CHRISSIE showed early promise and gave an indication of delivering on that last start. VIVIANE chased well behind Our Heidi first up and will strip fitter. FLY ON BYE has jumped out well between runs and can improve at odds. Selections: 9,2,16,15 Suggested Bet: Sigh to win Race 4 TAPA CAPALL may need some luck from the draw but his last start gave every indication he will cope with 2000m. SON OF SOLLY won an easier race over a similar trip in dominant fashion at his latest run. MY BROTHERS KEEPER comes through a key form race behind DASHING, along with Tapa Capall and others, he may settle closer from a favourable draw at this trip. Dashing got the box seat run last time, his record makes him impossible to overlook but he faces a different challenge from a wide draw out to 2000m. Selections: 16,14,3,1 Suggested Bet: Tapa Capall each way Race 5 PESTO drops in grade and has jumped out in good style since arriving back in Melbourne. GOLDEN CRUSADER has been freshened, his overall form is solid and a gap between runs is rarely an issue with the stable. WUDDZ won well at Warrnambool, he may be slightly better on wet ground but he’s a strong stayer with decent form good track form. CABOCHE drops significantly in grade. Selections: 5,6,13,4 Suggested Bet: Pesto each way Race 6 ALTIVO looks highly promising, he backs up, which Team Hawkes rarely do with such a promising lightly raced galloper, after an impressive win over 1600m last week in slight easier grade and may just prove too good. CONVENER also looks promising, his win last start was full of merit. Slight query coming back to 1800m with blinkers off but trust the stable to get it right. BOLD BOURBON has found a rich vein of form and backs up quickly after a tough win in the Casterton Cup. INDEPENDENT ROAD won well at Warrnambool and likes racing here. Selections: 11,4,12,7 Suggested Bet: Number 11 & 4 for quaddie first leg Race 7 TREPORTI and OUTBACK ACTION require scratchings to gain a start but are both right in the game if they do. TREPORTI gets blinkers back on and has jumped out nicely between runs, OUTBACK ACTION will make his own luck and will strip fitter for his dominant win last start. RENOSU has jumped out nicely between runs and handled the straight well. BOONIE is an interesting runner, he’s unbeaten first up and has trialled well for his Australian debut. ZAC DE BOSS may be better with a run under the belt but he’s jumped out in good style and races well down the straight. Selections: 18,19,5,13 Suggested Bet: Treporti each way Race 8 RIDDLE ME THAT comes through a key form race and his unplaced runs at 1600m have had merit. PINSTRIPED showed some tactical versatility recording a deserved win last time. KEATS will strip fitter for an encouraging, he’ll make his own luck and his form since joining the Bedggood stable is impossible to overlook. FLASH AAH stuck on well first up in the same race as Riddle Me That and will appreciate the step up to 1600m. Selections: 11,3,6,12 Suggested Bet: Riddle Me That each way Race 9 DAZZLING LUCY looked unlucky first up and should appreciate stepping up to 1200m. SNAPPED hasn’t had the best of luck of late and also looks suited by the rise to 1200m. SOUTH OF HOUSTON is unknown beyond 1100m but will make her own luck and stuck on well behind a smart one last start. ZARAFA is an interesting runner, she’s jumped out well for her Australian debut and Simon Zahra is building an impressive fresh record with his imported gallopers. HOLLY LOLLY might need some luck from the inside draw but is racing in great form. Selections: 4,2,12,7 Suggested Bet: Dazzling Lucy each way Market Market
