Scott Embry’s Saturday Kununurra Preview Posted on August 19, 2022August 19, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 LETHAL ENCOUNTER is a last start winner in Alice Springs when able to get into a forward position and then skipped right away to win by over 3L. Drops into a CLB trophy race and while rising to 60kg looks like kicking through to possibly lead them and there is limited exposed form in this race. MORE SNITZEL had been racing consistently well in Broome. This is clearly easier and he looks the danger. VIN ROUGE is yet to find her feet on the dirt. Simone Altieri jumping off to ride More Snitzel speaks volumes. SMART VISION is always there abouts. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – LETHAL ENCOUNTER WIN RACE 2 FEED THE MONSTER looks the one to beat here on what could be a big day for the Dick Leech yard. Has been racing consistently well in Darwin and went around in an RB66 in the opening meeting on Palmerston Sprint day when finishing third beaten just over 2L. That race rated particularly well and the step to 1800 should suit. Stablemate LUNCH SESSION looks the danger. Last preparation won two RB70 rates over 1400 & 2000. Think they quinella this. MANGIONE backs up and gets a soft run. PIEROPAN didn’t look to appreciate Broome. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – FEED THE MONSTER WIN RACE 3 HUSSTARR and KARAOKE EXPRESS met last start on Broome Cup day behind Mountain Ash in a high speed, high pressure C2 mile. HUSSTARR was beaten a long way from home in an uncharacteristically poor performance. Banking on him bouncing back. KARAOKE EXPRESS can really sustain a run and the harder and faster they go the better for him throughout the middle stages. CONSTANT CLAUSE and MAZY MOTION are both capable of working into the race from midfield positions. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – HUSSTARR WIN RACE 4 CASINO WAR finished second to Advocator at Broome off a month’s let up most recently when working hard throughout. From the inside draw should lob into a prominent position and this looks a suitable assignment for her to win another race for Simone Altieri and Anthony Barton. DEE KEEPA finished third in the same race. Should only improve for the run. HALGARD and stablemate SIGNOR FANGIO have strong form out of Darwin and will be hard to beat. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – CASINO WAR WIN RACE 5 WRITE YOUR NAME has to lump 63kg but is clearly the class runner of the field. Finished second in a BM69 last start when wide throughout finishing the race off strongly. Prior to that was in the Metric Mile and first-up second in an RB76. This is a big drop in grade for him and from the gate he should hold a position close to the speed. Hard to hold out if he can carry the weight. YANKEE LIMA looks the main danger. Hasn’t really excelled in the NW of WA but in a race with minimal speed expecting him to find the top quite comfortably. MAGNUS A GO GO is the other potential speed runner and Simone Altieri rides. WAR GAMES won a C2 fresh and can go on with it. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – WRITE YOUR NAME WIN RACE 6 ORNAMENTAL BELLE has been a model of consistency since joining the small Broome team of Anthony Barton. Won a C2 1200 at Broome two starts ago leading throughout and then finished fourth behind Raffali, Grated Coconut and So Birikkino last start. Should find the front here and drops 3kg in weight. ARROGANT MISS was disappointing at Broome but did have to do some work early to find a position. MADAM MISCHIEF sits up over the speed and her last two wins have been when leading all the way. Think she has a sniff for the fence. SUNDAY AT SIX has been going well at Roebourne. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – ORNAMENTAL BELLE WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,4 2,3,5 1,2 1,2,3,4 Market Market
