Close up in the Goulburn Cup when resuming he then had 6 weeks off leading into the Group 2 Villiers when although never a winning chance he stuck to his guns down the straight holding his ground to the line. Back to a Benchmark 88 yes he’s up in the weights however with an economical run from the good draw should prove hard to beat.

RACE 7 No.3 Stockman

Caught the eye very late in the Villiers just missing out on third placing. That was his third run back from a break suggesting he’s going to be just about or if not at his peak for Sundays Group 3 Summer Cup. A winner at 2000 and 2400m last prep he’s going to lap up the additional trip and importantly he handles all types of going.

RACE 9 No.5 Snippy Fox

Accepted for both here and Doomben connections have decided to stay home with their decision made easier by the far better barrier draw. She’s unbeaten this prep with the latest a very strong on-paced win here over 1200m. The step to 1400m on Sunday won’t pose any problems and she once again maps to score the right run.
