Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 15, 2021December 15, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 KIMBERLEY BOY is drawn on the wrong side of the Pinjarra straight which is a query. However, his recent trial was strong under Clint Johnston-Porter and the debut performance splitting Mercanto and Love Drunk Baby looks like a quality form reference. If he can get some cover early in behind them then he looms as the one to beat. AL QUEPONE worked very hard first-up when attacking outside the lead throughout. The third horse from the race Playz With Fire makes the form look strong. David Harrison’s horses fly down the straight as Oh Sophia showed on Sunday. BETTER IN KIT comes from the same race and was the one being attacked. CUT THE CORD is better than what he showed first-up. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – KIMBERLEY BOY WIN RACE 2 FIRST MISSILE is likely to need every inch of the 1200m first-up but think his juvenile form is strong enough to make a genuine case. Recent trial win was good enough and the form around Goldfrap, He’s A Sizzler and Mahaleo should stack up in a maiden. From the draw he just needs to stay with them and hold a position in running. Looks to have a level of ability. NIIGATA never gave up on debut. She was headed at the top of the straight and kept fighting. Lady Tornado will show the strength of the form on Wednesday in a 3yo 0MWLY. CIVVY STREET finished second first-up behind Galancy and hit the line full of running. Just needs an ounce of luck from a tricky draw to be in the mix in a wide open maiden. LUCRATIVE LUCY has only had the one start and she was left chasing throughout. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – FIRST MISSILE WIN RACE 3 TENACIOUS REWARD only had the one trial leading into his debut and he looked sharp. His debut performance was sound when chasing a pretty hot tempo behind So Birikkino. Since then Awesome Chatter has broken maiden status (ran 4th) and Chick Flix was competitive in a Westspeed Platinum 1200 on the weekend. Extra 100m a bonus and from the draw should get every conceivable chance. MOSQUITO has looked the goods at trials and looks the logical danger. Expecting him to take beating on debut and expecting him to measure up in better races over time. GYPSY GEE was the target of big backing fresh and didn’t get the right run at all. MAGIC WHISTLE was a surprise packet fresh. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – TENACIOUS REWARD WIN RACE 4 (FATALE FEMME & SNIPPY MISS are both double nominated and accepted for Wednesday and Thursday). Looks to be a stack of speed in this with STELLA DOOR and CROSS STATEMENT likely to lock horns in the early and middle stages of the race. Going to side up with MY MARLAINA who can position up in behind them and if they do over-cook it out in front she might be left as the last one standing. Tricky race with the unknown final field. CROSS STATEMENT is flying and Jimmy Taylor teams up with Holly Watson particularly well. Especially on an on speed horse. FATALE FEMME and SNIPPY MISS are both legitimate winning chances here. Interesting to see where they both end up racing. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – MY MARLAINA WIN RACE 5 DARN NOBLE is ready to win. Drawn a gate to settle midfield with cover in a wide open capacity line-up of 1600m maidens. This should be nearly eachway the field considering how deep and open it is and hopefully Darn Noble can get the gaps at the right time. Going pretty well now. SALACIA QUEEN looks like she will eat up the ground. Great effort from a fair way off them last start. GRATIAS DEO has been a costly commodity so far. He clearly has ability but he also does so, so much wrong in his races. Think the form through Constant Dreaming will hold up but he’ll need a serious steer from the gate. NOBLE SCOT has been knocking on the door the entire preparation. Looks like he’ll get another great opportunity to break through. The horse who beat him last start was plunged on Sunday. Numbers: 5 – 15 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – DARN NOBLE EACHWAY RACE 6 MR FAHRENHEIT has been a frustrating galloper in his career to date. Clearly has ability but just seems to find one or two better than him each and every time he goes to the races. Good honest effort first-up when run down by Seduce Me and now stepping out to 1400m he gets another go. STAR SUBJECT won a recent trial nicely and has shown glimpses of ability in the past. HIS EMINENCE was beaten margins last preparation but in better races than this. KEEP IT HUSH should get a nice run along the fence. Numbers: 1 – 12 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – MR FAHRENHEIT WIN RACE 7 GINGER SENORITA chased hard at her return to racing. Yuna Mailman absolutely ran them ragged when clocking some strong sections throughout running and just kept kicking. First 700 was run 7L faster than average and the entire field just couldn’t get into the race at any stage. Should come across to a nice position just behind the tempo here. MIRROR MOON had 455 days away from the races and five trials in between. Clearly had some issues to work through but the return to racing when second behind He’s A Lucky Lad was definitely encouraging. ENSIGN PULVER has run some huge races this preparation. Bursting to win one. BROADWAY GIRL is as honest and consistent as they come. Deserves to break through. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 11 – 4 Suggested Bet – GINGER SENORITA WIN RACE 8 THIS’LL TESTYA joins the stables of Mitchell Pateman. With a number of family members and former Albany neighbours in the ownership the pressure will be on to produce the results. She gets enough weight for Mitchell to ride himself but instead elects to BYO Apprentice and bring the weight down to 60.5. At her best she would run laps around these. On Thursday we’ll see where she’s at. BLAZING BILLY is going well and gets some weight relief after carrying 61.5 last start. Ready to win again. OLGA LOUISA should be a nice 1000m straight mare. Has the speed to get towards the outside fence. WIENER WALTZ an improver. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – THIS’LL TESTYA WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3,4,5,151,2,6,124,8,9,10,111,4 Market Market
