RACE 8 No.1 Francesco Guardi

It’s the McDonald/Waller combination here with this ex UK galloper who will be having his fourth local start. Outgunned by his stablemate when probably just needing to see clear running earlier than the 200m last time out he drops in weight and should be striking peak fitness now. Scratched last week perhaps due to the wet ground he’ll get firmer footing tomorrow.

RACE 9 No.8 Katalin

Happy to give this mare from the Cummings yard another chance tomorrow after a flat second up run at Newcastle. She was up in grade on that occasion and will go around against similar company here however she’s better than that and appears to get in well at the weights looking at the official handicap ratings. Early market action suggests I’m not on my own as she has come in for solid support.

RACE 10 No.7 Amiche

Ex Sunshine Coast mare now with Ed Cummings who debuted in Sydney with a win here four weeks ago. She’s a winner of 5 of her 10 starts overall showing plenty of ability when racing up north and she’ll take plenty of benefit from the run. She’ll need a little luck from her wide draw however should things pan out she’ll take a ton of beating.
