Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on May 7, 2021May 7, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DOUBLE RUSH looks just about ready to break through and the use of Holly Watson’s 2kg claim can definitely be the difference. Expecting him to kick through underneath them to hold the front and from there he’s the one they’ll need to gun down. WUNDERKIND was scratched from what would have been her Kalgoorlie debut at the last meeting. Most recent race form is strong: English Heritage, War Warrior, Kasonori. Testing material. SIZZLING AFFAIR and JONO are consistent but seem to lack a killer blow. Numbers: 4 – 9 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – DOUBLE RUSH WIN RACE 2 POWERFUL FORCE has been a wallet burner his entire career. Beaten favourite at $1.75, $3.75, $4.00, $3.75, $3.50, $2.25 and $2.40. Enter Jett Stanley. Seems like a gun in the making and has a 4kg claim. Might see him ridden a lot closer here and the opposition is extremely weak. Finally wins one (surely?). ACT INNOCENT was chasing throughout last start. Master trainer Peter Fernie swaps Blinkers for Visors. See how she travels now. AURAE has promised to win one for 12 months. She’s the Kalgoorlie version of Powerful Force. CINNAGOD wasn’t a bad run last start. The Tri For Us form is hot. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – POWERFUL FORCE WIN RACE 3 TRILLIONAIRE looks a real emerging talent on the Goldfields. Has always shown glimpses of ability but is really starting to put it all together now. Kind of horse who will get beaten from time to time when the track plays heavily on-pace but at the other meetings where it is fair he’ll be going through the grades. CONGREVE ROCKET should be a handy acquisition for Peter Fernie. Leader with a noted front running rider aboard. FINGERMARK resumes and is more than capable of zapping them even with the weight. SHOOTING SHIROCCO has no weight with the claim. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – TRILLIONAIRE WIN RACE 4 MAGNIFORCE is a gun in Kalgoorlie. 2x 58+ winner, 2x 70+ winner, Coolgardie Sprint, Kambalda Cup and seemingly improving type. Weight has caught up with him now with 60kg in the top grade of racing in the region but see no reason why he can’t win a few more. Another nice race for him. WIENER WALTZ is a different horse when he finds the top. Interesting to see if Mollie Clark can hold out Magniforce early. MR GENOA has Brad Rawiller taking over from a 4kg claimer. Same change as Super Ex last Sunday at Northam. WATTO’S FURY simply doesn’t run a bad race. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – MAGNIFORCE WIN RACE 5 THREE EZE is knocking on the door and looks to have found the right race. Two starts ago was a C2 place getter behind Trillionaire (beating home Spirited Lad) and last start stepped into a 58+ when again finishing in the money behind Trillionaire. Drops back to C2 company, back to 1400m and drawn ideally. Could prove a Ryan Hill kind of horse #quirky. SPIRITED LAD drops 2kg and gains the services of Brad Rawiller. Going well this campaign, just needs some luck. TOO FAT TOO SLOW won well last start but this is definitely tougher. CENSURE finds a new home. Nothing wrong with the run behind Kristella and Wednesday as a form reference. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – THREE EZE WIN RACE 6 PARIS REPORT has had two runs for Jayden Thomas with 3kg claimers. Brad Rawiller takes over riding duties and while she rises sharply in the weights as a result, she is also drawn to get an ideal run. Loomed the winner last start but couldn’t hold out the flying Alcina after doing it a bit tough. Like her chances of turning the tables. ALCINA has Josh Brown walking around Esperance like Conor McGregor when in actual fact he’s more like Conor from Masterchef, but you can understand why. He and Freddo have their little mare flying and she can win again no doubt. ROSEICAPILLA has come back in super order this campaign. KENTUCKY LOVE won like a mare about to go through the grades. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – PARIS REPORT WIN RACE 7 SEMIGEL looks a big winning chance fresh. Last two runs of the previous preparation speak for themselves (but we’ll write it out anyway #wages). Second to Vital Blast in a 0MWLY at Ascot and then a chasing fourth behind Weaponson, Classic Chant and Amelia Bedelia in a C5 at Northam. Finds a C2 first-up no trial and is drawn a perfect alley. Any sprinkle of money it’s a bandwagon job. MOONLIGHTS REWARD is a brilliant fresh horse. If you’re ever going to catch him it’s first-up. PROTECTED ACTION is always a chance if they allow him to control the tempo. GUARDED is a poor mans Sigil. Not for me. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – SEMIGEL WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,4,9 3,4,5,7 1,2,5,9,11 3,7 Market Market
