Scott Embry’s Sunday Ascot Preview Posted on March 5, 2021March 9, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 KAZOKU ran well on debut after settling back in the field from a wide gate. Hit the line hard and from the inside draw should get a far more economical run in transit. Should go well and strikes a weak maiden. TUMIVET brings some intrigue after defeated 3 time winner Lyle’s Choice in a recent 1450m trial at Lark Hill. If he finds the top he can be hard to beat. RECITING comes from the same race as Kazoku and they finished off equally as well as each other. MINE DETECTOR can improve out in trip. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – KAZOKU WIN RACE 2 DEVINE BEAST and OUR BOY DYLAN both come from the same 3 year old Saturday race behind Vadette De Star and Charleton Eddie where both ran extremely well. DEVINE BEAST drops out of 3 year old Saturday plates for the first time in the preparation and her efforts to date recording placings to Our Danni and Magical Dream read well. Add in her fifth behind Kissonallforcheeks and she looks hard to beat. OUR BOY DYLAN ran into Cuballing in a high rating C3 before contesting the 3 year old plate referenced previously. Going super. AMASENUS went into every black book in the Country after the first-up train wreck. HOLY GHOST was equally as impressive in the same race. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – DEVINE BEAST WIN RACE 3 VANE TEMPEST was an early scratching from the Saturday Bunbury meeting when nominated and accepted to take on the likes of Vadette De Star and Secret Plan in a top quality 3 year old 1200. Looks far better suited in this race and if Iseered Iseered doesn’t start then she’ll likely to round a fairly pronounced favourite. Has some real X-Factor to her racing. ISEERED ISEERED is double nominated for Saturday and Sunday. Hard to beat regardless of which race they elect to start in. MISS VASARI demolished moderate opposition on debut down the straight but did it in style. CABLE BOY looks a handy type in the making. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – VANE TEMPEST WIN RACE 4 HELL’S BELLE has come back super after a freshen. Broke her maiden when letting down powerfully from just behind the speed and then last start when tracking them up along the fence got out and for a fleeting moment looked like she was a chance of causing a massive boilover. To finish within 1L of Vadette De Star and Charleton Eddie is a massive career PB effort and if she can reproduce that run in a C1 she’ll be very hard to beat. ZADOK was caught deep last start and kept coming to the line. DOOWAHDIDDY is fresh and should land a lovely position in running from the draw. KATONA was huge last start in a much stronger race. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – HELL’S BELLE WIN RACE 5 HOLY ENCHANTMENT was a tough watch for punters after being plunged in betting ($3.4 into $1.75). Got well out of his ground, nothing to take him into the race, held up until it was all over and flashing late for second. Drops from a C3 back into a C1 and likely to be ridden like the best horse in the race. This is an easier assignment on paper and he looks more than capable of chiming into the JC Roberts/Melvista/Derby preparation after this. LINCOLN’S LAW has been building all preparation and won well last start. Improving type. BROADWAY GIRL is getting stronger and stronger after a long absence from the track. Knocking on the door. HOLYOAKE a blowout chance. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – HOLY ENCHANTMENT WIN RACE 6 OUTBACK JACK faces his toughest test to date in a fairly deep C3. Won in this grade last start and rises only 1.5kg but this does look a much stronger line-up than what he met at Pinjarra Park. He is building toward the WATC Derby and should enjoy the right run from the draw. Big striding type who should appreciate a genuine tempo. TWENTYTHREE RED comes out of a 66+ race run more than 8L faster than average. Has already produced a plunge horse in Unreliable. Expecting the money to come again. INTERSTATE and BOMBARDMENT are both going well. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – OUTBACK JACK WIN RACE 7 FATALE FEMME is undefeated and resumes after a decent spell. Showed dazzling speed and professionalism at trials before last preparation and again in a recent 400m jump out. Drawn the inside gate in a race where there is a stack of speed drawn in various parts of the line. If Knuckey can kick through and hold leader’s back she’ll be stalking them ready to pounce. POLICIERE is a little bulldog. Not much of her but she really knuckles to the task when asked for an effort. Strong recent trial but horror gate. SPIN THE KNIFE was huge on debut in an extremely strong times race. Will need to burn the candle at both ends from the draw. HEAVENLY WATERS has done nothing wrong and looks like getting a lovely run throughout. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – FATALE FEMME WIN RACE 8 INVICTUS DOMINI has another crack in town after dominating them in the Mid-West all season. His recent trial was effortless and regular rider Mitch Pateman is in the saddle. He’ll need to pull out something special because the draw is real headscratcher with speed from Tradensia, Bruce Almighty and Greco all drawn underneath him. If Pateman can give him an economical run he does look like he’ll measure up in this grade. TRADENSIA has a senior rider back on board and the 7 furlongs is her bread and butter. TINSNIP ran well at his return to racing and looks like he’ll be winning one soon. BRUCE ALMIGHTY is incredibly hard to knock. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – INVICTUS DOMINI WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1 1,3,5,6,7 1,2,3,4 1,2,3,4,5,7 Market Market
