Unbeaten gelding who faces his acid test tomorrow coming to town for the first time having won all 3 starts in convincing fashion at Nowra and Goulburn (twice). He’s been very impressive to the eye at each of those wins which have been backed up by his overall and sectional times clocking the quickest final 200m split at each victory. He can measure up!

RACE 5 No.10 Forbidden Love

Hoping the Freedman yard can make it a double tomorrow with this filly who is a stablemate to the above runner. Resumed with a solid on-paced win at Canterbury before beating all bar the smart duo Dame Giselle and Hungry Heart last time out, she drops back from Group 2 company on that occasion and they franked the form last week! Hard to beat.

RACE 7 No.1 Rothfire

So dominant in the Run To The Rose here a fortnight back he now starts a very short priced favourite in this Group 1 Golden Rose. He did all the work chasing the tearaway leader on that occasion yet was still very strong to the line and I thought if anything he was coasting late. Proven up to the longer trip and should get across ok from the gate, can make it two Group 1’s from 9 starts!
