Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on May 22, 2020May 22, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson Race 1 No. 7 Overlord Sebring colt from the Waller yard who looks all set to break through tomorrow. Connections tossed up whether to tackle the richer spoils in Brisbane or stay home having decided on the latter. Beautifully bred from the Group 1 winning mare Red Tracer he shouldn’t have any trouble handling the very wet ground as his mum was a ‘swimmer’. The additional 100m plays right into his hands. Race 5 No.5 Southern Lad Resumed recently at Wagga over their carnival beating by all bar the winner in the feature Town Plate. Arguably he should have won that race if not for being held up at a vital stage in the straight. Back in trip not ideal however he has the best wet track record in the race which is going to prove all important tomorrow in the prevailing conditions. Race 6 No.10 Miss Einstein Lightly raced consistent mare who’s been beaten around the same margin (2L) both starts this time in. With better luck on each of those occasions she would have cut that margin to even less. She was a third up winner last prep and is busting to get onto some wet ground which she’s certainly going to get tomorrow! Best Value Race 8 No.12 Man Of Peace Quaddie 2, 9, 10 2, 5, 13 2, 3, 12 3, 7, 9 Market Market
