The Scout: EPL Matchday 29 Posted on March 5, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Crystal Palace vs Watford 12th placed Crystal Palace have turned a corner with back to back 1-0 wins, leaving them well clear of relegation, and now a real chance of climbing into the top half of the League table. Watford (17th) soared out of the bottom three with their 3-0 win over the Liverpool – becoming the first team to beat the Reds all season! How much can we read into that win of Watford’s? It was their first in seven Premier League fixtures so I’m keeping a lid on things for now. Crystal Palace have been particularly stingy this season. They’ve scored just 25 goals (2nd lowest) while conceding just 32 (6th lowest). Veteran Gary Cahill has been leading the way in defense and this back four should feel confident about containing any of Watford’s attacking forays. Suggested Bet: Match Result Crystal Palace @ $2.50* Wolverhampton vs Brighton Undefeated in four Premier League matches, 6th placed Wolverhampton have won two straight, scoring three goals in each win. Brighton (15th) are still chasing their first Premier League win for 2020, and it will need to come fast as they are just one point clear of Bournemouth in 18th and three clear of Aston Villa in 19th. Wolves were fantastic last matchday coming back from 2-1 down to beat Tottenham 3-2. Among the goals on that day was Diego Jota, the Portuguese forward who is in red hot form. Jota has three goals and two assists in his last two matches, with his skillful dribbling and pace making him a nightmare for defenders. Brighton boast one of the worst defensive records on the road this season, conceding at least one goal in their last 11 away fixtures. They look a good chance to be conceding again here, with Jota the man most likely for Wolves. Suggested Bet: Diego Jota Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.65* Burnley vs Tottenham Burnley (9th) are undefeated in their last five Premier League matches; a run that features wins over Manchester United and Leicester. They’ve conceded just one goal in their last four games, including holding both United and Arsenal goalless. Tottenham on the other hand have been crippled by injury, falling to 7th spot on the table after back to back losses to Wolves and Chelsea. Tottenham’s attack has been decimated with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son sidelined for what could be the rest of the season. Jose Mourinho is making do with makeshift lineups, but it’s hard to see this leading to a rise up the standings. The Spurs frontline is severely depleted and Burnley’s defenders have given nothing to their opponents in recent weeks. I think the Clarets can stifle Tottenham here an come away with maximum points. Suggested Bet: Match Result Burnley @ $2.70* *Odds correct as at 2pm, 5th March 2020. Market Market
