RACE 1

LONG BEACH should idle out the back and likely has all 4 opponents in front of him turning for home but his last start win was simply too good to ignore. He clocked the fastest final 200m split of the entire meeting and looks to be getting better and better with racing. TOMMY BLUE could find the front or breeze from the ‘outside’ gate. She is a nice filly and will hold the tactical advantage in the run. TALLADEGA is undefeated after two and was crunched in the market when an impressive midweek winner. EURASIA next best but a cog behind the top three.

RACE 2

ZETORIO will drop straight out to last in the relatively small field and then attempt to swoop around the lot from the 600. This is a distinct class drop from his recent assignments and on his day he could blow them to pieces. Only two starts ago was fourth behind Why Choose Her, Chix Pic and Free Trade, beating home Mr Genoa, Spillinova and the Nicconian. Gets his chance. ROUND THE POINT ran out of his skin last weekend when stretching undefeated mare Sherpa Lass. If he can find the breeze he’s a live hope. CITICHANT has been drawing bad gates in unsuitable races. Keep safe at a price. BEDOUIN BELLE has the ability, draws a gate and backs-up off 7 days.

RACE 3

MARTARELLO has had 22 career attempts at breaking her maiden but there is no better chance than the International Women’s Day maiden. Kyra Yuill should fire her out to sit outside of likely leader He’s Gonski and from there in a very weak maiden she gets her chance. Would feel rude not to tip a mare in the race anyway! SON OF THE SUN ran well first-up behind Bruce Almighty. He looks the hardest to beat and is a deserving favourite. ZU MANTUA was horrid last start at Esperance. Previous two far better. KNOT KNOWN next best from the ideal draw.

RACE 4

RED PUBLISHER is having his 17th run for the campaign but Ash Maley’s team is going extremely well and Jade McNaught is back in her white hot form of 3 months ago. From the gate Red Publisher should settle one out and one back in a genuinely run race and back to the mile looks in his favour. No reason he can’t win in an even race. HARRY THOMAS is having his 15h run in but continues to run good races. Never far from the action and looks suited chasing likely leader My Greek Boy. LORDHELPMERUN was a flop in the Albany Cup. Dropping back in trip a big positive. MY GREEK BOY ran a cheeky race in the Pinjarra Classic, setting a hot tempo.

RACE 5

OUR DANNI sat outside of Mindarie first-up no trial and was brave to hold on and run third only beaten a small margin. Blinkers go on, Chris Parnham goes on and with normal racing luck can get across and prove hard to beat in the feature. AMERICAN CHOICE flashed home late in a recent trial to catch the eye. STARFIELD IMPACT was a quality early season juvenile returning to the track. JANAURA can lead, can sit, either way she should run a race at a price.

RACE 6

LAVERROD may be slightly vulnerable first-up at 1000m but is far and away the best horse in the race. From the draw he only needs to step cleanly to settle midfield with cover and then he can unleash his powerful sprint late. If this was 1200 he would be $1.30. Will open black figures due to the short course. ZIEBELL should be able to get across from a wide gate. He is high speed and won well last start in midweek grade. WARFISH should end up in a nice enough trailing position in running. COMES A TIME has returned to racing very well.

RACE 7

PYMS ROYALE may be forced to sit three deep the trip no cover but the faster they go in front the better for him. Both Peter and Luke Fernie are producing city winner after winner and Pyms Royale on his day is an electric sprinter. RED CAN MAN is a high quality three year old returning and very well placed into a 72+ against the older horses. Soft recent trial for his first-up assignment and drawn a perfect gate. ILLUSTRIOUS TYCOOON should be able to cross to the fence for the first time this preparation. Off the 7 days looks like being competitive. SPEEDING COMET was scratched last week to save for this and maps well.

RACE 8

MORNING SONG continues to defy the market and was a strong last start winner. Chris Graham has ridden her to victory in the past and she can settle relatively close handy from the draw. Provided she gets a clear passage in the straight looks hard to beat again. SKINNEN TINS is a query at the trip but should enjoy a nice soft run. Going very well this preparation. PADDY’S SHADOW would be a clear on top selection if it wasn’t for such a horror barrier draw. Screaming out for the trip. HERE COMES LENNI is still building into the campaign. He’ll be winning one soon.

RACE 9

SPECIAL CHOICE was a victim of circumstances first-up. Got caught in the washing machine back in the field and was knocked from pillar to post. Never really got clear until the race was over and looks capable of bouncing straight back here. LIPSTICK FLICKERS has come back to racing in remarkable form. She should enjoy a soft lead from the inside and take serious running down. BOBCAT JOHNNIE put in a huge ‘back me next start’ run at his most recent. Keep an eye on the big fellow. SMARTY is a quality mare resuming and drawn to get the perfect run in transit.
