The Scout: Saturday NBA Tips

Charlotte Hornets  (11-16) @ Chicago Bulls (9-17)

The Hornets have won two matches in a row with a serious chance here to make it three.

Devonte’ Graham might be the most improved player to this point. He averages 20 points and 7.6 assists far for the season and is coming off a massive 40 point game in a win over the Nets.

This is a match between two average NBA teams that both look destined for the draft lottery. It’s very likely that this will come down to a battle between the two starting point guards going bucket for bucket.

Graham has proven already that he is a pure scorer and has no fear, in what is close to a 50/50 game you have to take the value here and back the Hornets.

Suggested Bet: Charlotte Win @ $3.25*

Los Angeles Clippers (19-7) @ Minnesota Timberwolves (10-14)

The Timberwolves have officially crashed back down to earth after a red-hot start to the season. They have lost six straight games and not one of them was close. Towns and Wiggins are still putting up numbers but that’s about it for scoring, everyone around them have been silenced.

What’s so impressive about the Clippers is their ability to do damage throughout the whole game. At the start you have George and Leonard to deal with who can both generate their own shot and are deadly from beyond the three-point line.

When the starters rest you get no room to breathe with the insanely effective pick and roll combo of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, both averaging 19 points per game.

During their six game losing streak, the Wolves have lost by an average of 11.8 points, they have looked awful and are almost giving up in fourth quarters.

The bench for Minnesota has been so awful and coming up against one of the best combos off the bench in Williams and Harrell I think this will be another big loss for the down and out Timberwolves.

Suggested Bet: Clippers -5.5 (Line) @ $1.90*

New York Knicks (5-20) @ Sacramento Kings (11-13)

The Knicks got the first win in four weeks with a two point overtime victory over the Warriors. Marcus Morris led the way for the Knicks with 36 point game which snapped a 10-game losing streak.

The Kings are still rolling without their starting point guard De’Aaron Fox with Buddy Hield carrying a lot of the scoring burden, he’s averaging 21.5 points for the season and shooting lights out from three.

New York’s offense looked great last match against the Warriors, alongside Morris’s 36 points the Knicks had Randle with 24 and rookie RJ Barrett pour in 22 points. When the ball movement is good and the Knicks are shooting with confidence their offense can really click as seen last match, scoring 124 points.

The Kings also have an offense that when clicking and pour in the points, with so many deadly shooters including Hield, Bogdanovic and Bjelica.

We should see an aggressive Sacramento come out this match, against a Knicks team that doesn’t defend well. I expect both sides to be shooting confidently and we will see a high scoring game.

Suggested Bet: Over 213.5 (Game Total) @ $2.70*
