Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on December 6, 2019December 6, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 1 No.1 Way Beyond Placed both starts to date over the 1000m trip at Eagle Farm and the Sunshine Coast finishing off strongly on each occasion. He chased home the unbeaten Dusty Tycoon at the latest of those runs closing last ground. That suggests the step to 1200m tomorrow is exactly what he’s looking for and from the inside gate he can stalk the speed before unleashing in the straight. RACE 2 No.5 Cellarmaid Very promising filly from the Kelly Schweida yard who returns to the track tomorrow off a 6 week break. Only lightly raced she holds a very good record having won 2 of her 4 starts to date with those victories coming within her last couple of outings. On each occasion she’s defied the tempo of the race to round up the leaders, expect a similar scenario to unfold tomorrow. RACE 3 No.1 Don’t Waiver Lightly raced consistent galloper from the Stuart Kendrick yard who can bring up an early double for the stable (see Race 1). He’s been competitive against the likes of Guntantes and Profit in recent times, both would give this field a decent towelling up. Yes he has plenty of weight however from the inside alley expect him to gain a very cosy run at his first try beyond 1800m.
