Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on April 5, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets Race 2 No.3 Dealmaker Clearly didn’t run the 2000m of the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas out on the very wet track last start and looks a lot better placed back to the mile tomorrow facing Group 3 company. His three prior runs to that had all resulted in close up efforts with a couple of those in strong Group grade. He can bounce back to that form tomorrow. RACE 6 No.13 Tenley Didn’t go a yard on the very wet ground in the Golden Slipper and although we’ll be racing on a damp surface again tomorrow it won’t be anywhere near the dismal conditions she faced on that occasion. Her previous from was outstanding closing strongly to win her previous two starts. If the track plays ok or we gain an upgrade I’m more than happy to give her another chance. RACE 8 No.3 Santa Ana Lane Cracking sprinter who more often than not flies under the radar and as a result goes around at big prices, he’s now won 4 Group 1 races all at double figure odds ranging from $10 to $26! Loved his recent Randwick trial closing nicely under no urgings whatsoever, the well fancied Osborne Bulls was closing as well however not as well at this one. Looks a great each-way bet.
