Scott Embry’s Friday Narrogin Preview Posted on February 28, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 HENTY GAL should be breaking through here. Went under deep in the red at her last start and connections will be hoping lightning doesn’t strike twice, but all things being equal she should be winning. SMART TYCOON found the line nicely albeit under some vigor from rider Shaun McGruddy. WAR ANTHEM showed plenty of promise on debut and can only improve for the outing. SWEET HELEN looks the leader which is advantageous around this circuit. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – HENTY GAL WIN Race 2 CARLEY EMILY is another who only has to reproduce her recent form and should be taking care of this field. Hasn’t been far away behind some handy enough types and this looks her race. IZINDUNA obviously has issues and is first up no trial for a new yard but wasn’t disgraced on debut behind a sharper bunch. GEOTHERMAL was very ordinary on debut but can improve if finding the fence. SHIBATA FOX wasn’t disgraced behind a nice type last time out. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – CARLEY EMILY WIN Race 3 SHE’S A GALAH will be the third short priced favourite on the card and the astute judges who generally like their favourites will be hoping Hilly can lift it home. Should win on form. TOP TRADE comes out of the same race where he was on debut at 1700m so can only improve off of that effort. LOCKLEAR has his first outing for the Beeps Rogers yard and he is a master at improving these tried horses. Respect. AIR RIDER would have slept well after his last start and can improve at a price. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – SHE’S A GALAH WIN Race 4 BROWSING wasn’t afforded much luck throughout last start and was stiff not to win. This looks an easier assignment on paper and she can bounce back into the winners circle for the father-daughter combo. PINK ‘N’ GRAY won his maiden well enough to suggest he can go on with it .MAGIC OPUS makes the trip from the Great Southern on the back of a nice trial. Has first up form suitable for a race like this. ICE MAKER doesn’t often have the services of a senior rider so connections may well be filling their pockets today. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – BROWSING WIN Race 5 PASAJERO held off short priced favourite Henty Gal when breaking his maiden status last time out. That form should be franked in the opening event and he can make it two in a row. SOUND OF FURY couldn’t have been more impressive when flashing down the outside in the Mighty Panthers colours for popular hobby trainer Robert Payton. He flys at this track and can win again. NIYACHI had excuses at his most recent and previous effort was super. RED HOT FLIRT looks ready to run a race. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – PASAJERO WIN Race 6 MARK MY CARD looks to have finally found his race. The 7yo certainly deserves to break through after a number of meritorious efforts. SCENIC JOUREY showed enough in a recent trial to be competitive here and can run a race on debut. DEMONS ‘N’ DUST was an impressive on speed effort over the 930m dash. She will be the one to catch. JUST SCOOT has his fair share of issues but Adam Fairey does a super job with those types. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – MARK MY CARD WIN Race 7 SUMMIT TRAIL has been contesting exclusively tougher races than what he finds himself in today. The blinkers go on for the first time this preparation and the red hot Troy Turner may very well take luck out of the equation and sit him right on top of the speed. GLEN ALBYN can mix his form but his only run at this track was very good. HOLLYWOOD ROCK is in form and should find the front. PATCHIRAC seems to be looking for this trip. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – SUMMIT TRAIL WIN Quad (Race 4 – 7) 2,6 1,2 2,3,5 3 Market Market
