Scott Embry’s Sunday Esperance Preview Posted on February 28, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 MASCHINO MISS is first up no trial but that formula almost payed off last preparation when narrowly beaten in a midweek race. If she can reproduce that performance she is the one to beat. OVERTHRONE hasn’t been far away all preparation and this looks easier than what she has been contesting. She will enjoy a dream run from the gate and be right in the finish. IM PRETTY hasn’t broken any records at the trials but the yard commands respect. SIMPLE AS THAT was a better trial than reads on paper and could be a blow out. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – MASCHINO MISS WIN Race 2 JACK’S FROST really got going late when failing to reel in the leaders last time out. He looks a progressive type who is taking a step forward with every trip to the races and he can notch his first win today. KING FOR LIFE will find the front and not many are riding better than Troy Turner. DANCE WEST put in another run which suggested she should just be winning this but she may not be the most genuine conveyance. DENO’S DYNAMITE can fill a minor place back to the 1400m. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – JACK’S FROST WIN Race 3 DANCE MINDY DANCE was never on the track at her first go over the mile. She was entitled to finish a lot further back than she did and with any luck in running today can play a part at an each way quote. ONE HOT FOX rattled home last start and the extra half a furlong only enhances her chances. CIAO MISS TURPIN broke through in emphatic fashion and can make it two in a row from the inside gate. SCOTTY TOO HOTTY is going great guns but the barrier is a huge blow to his chances. Numbers: 12 – 10 – 11 – 7 Suggested Bet – DANCE MINDY DANCE WIN Race 4 BADGE OF COURGE was an alarming betting drifter when beaten by the shortest of margins behind Bells Tower. Has a great rapport with Matthieu Autier who is back aboard today and he can bounce back into the winners stall and if he does so knock Barry’s Rabbit off for horse of the year. BELLS TOWER got the better of Badge Of Courage last time out thanks to a well rated ride from Jerry Noske. GENERAL HUSSON is hard to gauge thanks to some dodgy trial footage but you can be sure he will be hard to beat. ANOTHER DEMON was set the impossible task of tackling boom sprinter Fabergino and now steps up to 1200m. Place chance only. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – BADGE OF COURAGE WIN Race 5 RED MOON only has to match recent form to be going mighty close here. Given Shaun O’Donnell finds a nice spot in running he should be taking care of these. ARMENIUS was disappointing at his most recent but he can bounce back with Autier back aboard drawn softly. NOBEL SUSPECT was very disappointing for connections on the back of an eye catching first up run. SHIRASCA doesn’t know how to run a bad race but the draw hurts. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – RED MOON WIN Race 6 TRUTH AND LIES returns after a short let up and has been set for this race. With Mitchell Pateman aboard she is sure to be super hard to beat. DAZZLING POET is flying. He has been winning races with ease and gets every chance again from the inside gate. EVERASREADY makes the trip from the Great Southern after some very solid home track form. He is going well enough to play a part in the finish. SAMMY THE BOSS recent win had some merit given majority of horses find it hard to shoot up the inside part of the track. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – TRUTH AND LIES WIN Race 7 BROTHER’S KEEPER was a gallant effort when resuming under the 60kg top weight in the Narrogin Cup. He maps to get an identical run today and you would expect he has come on from the first up run. The one to beat. THIDWICK THE MOOSE could be the blowout. He gets in well at the weights, is reunited with Matthieu Autier and the stable knows how to produce them on the big days. BUNKER BUSTER has been aimed at this race and looks to be peaking at the right time. If he gets a tow into the race he can be lethal. BEAUCOUNT will be in front for the majority of the race but is always tip toeing late. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet – BROTHER’S KEEPER WIN Race 8 PALACE ROGUE is resuming after a disappointing preparation. He is a very handy stayer on his day however and the recent trial was exceptional. He can win first up and continue a great patch of form for Darren McAuliffe. MULGA knows how to mix his form and hasn’t been at his best for some time but he cannot be underestimated. SOUTHERN WARRIOR is in terrific form and just needs some luck to overcome the sticky draw. PATIENCE PHILLIPS is progressive and drawn well. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 12 Suggested Bet – PALACE ROGUE WIN Quad (Race 5 – 8) 1,3,6,7,9 7 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,10 2 Market Market
